Having a great dentist is one of the better pleasures of life. A dentist who knows his profession, practices it regularly, has a great feel for his or her patients, and, most of all, is painless.

I have been privileged to have at least two absolutely great dentists take care of me and my family. In addition to being our dentists I’m also proud to call them my friends. The Paper - 760.747.7119

Had I known about it then I probably would just about be getting out of prison right now. I would have taken that dentist apart. (No, I don’t recall his name. Way too many years ago).

We met Dr. Herb Jac Lowe many years ago. He was a fellow Kiwanian and I got to know him socially, then professionally. My youngest son, Kenny, had a dread fear of dentists and dental work. I found out later that when my sons were young, maybe five or six years old, we had taken them to a dentist near Poway. During the treatment Kenny was in pain and cried. The dentist slapped him. Slapped him!

That is where Kenny developed his intense fear of dentists. Dr. Herb Jac Lowe, DDS

easily, slowly, and, most of all, painlessly. He also prescribed Valium initially, to calm Kenny down before his first dental appointment. It went off without a hitch, Kenny had his dental work done and for years he would only allow Dr. Lowe to do his dentistry. He no longer needed Valium. He had grown to trust Dr. Lowe. Dr. Lowe, it turns out, is also a surfer. Kenny is a surfer - having surfed in Fiji, in Peru, all over the world.

Ken and Dr. Lowe also became friends. Even my partner, Evelyn Madison, still sees Dr. Lowe.

It’s been a great life knowing Herb, his wife, his son . . and “growing up with all of them.”

Today, Dr. Lowe has a thriving practice in San Marcos. He graduated from USC Dental School in 1977, worked at a dental clinic which had a satellite office in Escondido. Dr. Lowe would work two to three days a week in the satellite office from 1980 on and, then, in January of 1985 he bought the satellite office and began his own dental office in Escondido. He moved over to his present location in San Marcos in 2008 and has been there ever since.

I remember one Kiwanis meeting when I had been joking and playing with Evan and, at the end of the meeting, he said, “can you come over to my house and play?”

Dr. Lowe practices general dentistry, does crowns, fillings, bridges, cleaning, restoring of implants - he is an allround family dentist. He does routine cleaning for children but on any other dentistry for children he refers out to a pediatric dentist . . a dentist who specialized in children’s dentistry.

Today, Evan is all grown up, age 30, is married to Taylor and has made Herb Lowe and wife, Stephanie, grandpa and

One day out on the golf course, a golfer accidentally overturned his golf cart. A very attractive woman, who lived in a villa on the golf course, heard the noise, came out onto her balcony and called out to him, “Hey, are you okay?” “I'm fine, thanks," he replied.

"You look frazzled,” the woman said, “come up to my villa for a drink and I will help you get the cart up afterwards."

"That's mighty nice of you," he answered, “but I don't think my wife would like that." "Oh, come on," the woman, a gorgeous brunette in a sexy bikini, insisted. “I can see you've cut your

She was very persuasive....and he was weak. "Well okay," he agreed, and added, "but my wife won't like it."

After she bandaged his wound, she gave him a most welcome brandy. They talked a little about golf and he discovered she was an avid golfer with a four handicap. When he confessed to a weakness in his putting, she gave him a putting lesson holding him close and intimately as she did so. Finally he confessed, "I feel a lot better now, but I had better get going. I know my wife is going to be really upset with me being here with you." "Don't be silly!” the woman said with a smile, “she won't know anything. By the way, where is she?" "Under the cart," he replied. ••• I went back to a high school reunion not so long ago. Wow!

Somewhere along the line I also met another brilliant dentist who has also become a close friend.

Dr. Greg Hurt

Dr. Greg Hurt, also practicing in San Marcos, eats, sleeps, and breathes dentistry. I have spoken to him several times urging him to slow down. He doesn’t need to work till 10pm! how beautifully orchestrated a visit to Dr. Hurt is. I have compared it to attending a symphony. How many patients can say they enjoyed a root canal? Dr. Greg Hurt, and his beautiful Lisa, form one of the happiest, most attractive couples you’ll ever meet. They recently completed renovations on the San Marcos Dental Center which Dr. Hurt founded and has operated for years. At the same time they were doing a major remodel of their home and almost have that completed.

Dr. Hurt was born in Spencer, Iowa, south of Lake Okoboji – and started his early years on a 200 acre farm his dad owned; later, his dad owned a car dealership in Spencer but after joining the Air Force and becoming a pilot he moved around a bit, as so often happens in a military family. "Well, why did you leave Texas?" the manager asked.

The boy said, "Sir, there's nothing but whores and football players there." "Really?" said the manager "My wife is from Texas."

"Get outta here!" the boy said. "Who'd she play for?" •••

Saturday, October 26, 2019 marked the 18th Annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. San Diego County hosted nearly 40 locations, including 11 in North County and Camp Pendleton area.

In the cities of Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista, approximately 700 pounds of unused or expired prescription medications were collected, nearly 400 more pounds than the Take Back Day in April 2019.

Young Marines, Oceanside Police Department, and youth volunteered at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside and the Sheriff’s Department in Vista and surveyed nearly 170 participants to determine how people hear about Take Back Day. By Gig Conaughton, County of San Diego Communications Office

A western harvest mouse collected in Escondido has tested positive for hantavirus and County officials are reminding people to never sweep or vacuum up after rodents if they find them in homes, garages, sheds and living spaces. The mouse was collected by County Vector Control surveillance in routine monitoring. Vector Control monitors the populations of vectors — animals like ticks, rodents and mosquitoes — that can transmit diseases to people.

The main carriers of hantavirus are wild rodents, particularly wild mice.

Rodents shed the virus through their urine, droppings and saliva. Hantavirus can cause deadly infections in people; there is no vaccine or cure for it. People can be exposed to hantavirus by inhaling it in when infected urine, feces and saliva dries and is stirred into the air.

and I don't have the time to go around the yard looking for bugs.

The pups love to hunt lizards and they occasionally catch one. Neither Evelyn nor I like it when that happens. The dogs dispatch the lizards rather quickly. They also love to hunt gophers. I'm not as fond of gophers as I am of lizards but I don't like the pups to kill gophers either, however, I will pay the landscapers to get rid of the gophers. I just don't want to see it. Out of sight, out of mind, and I'm a complete innocent. As we were enjoying our cup of tea I looked up at the big blue sky and saw contrails, a sure sign they had fired off another rocket at Vandenberg Air Force Base.

At 12:30, California time, it was 71 degrees here . . .32 degrees in Chicago, where I spent five years, and 36 degrees in Omaha, where I spent more than a couple decades.

I've never once regretted moving to California. Do not miss the cold. Do not miss the snow. Nothing romantic about softly falling snow . . . at least to me. A few pleasant memories of snow. But very few. And usually I was in a snow suit. With a sled. And barely out of diapers.

Because of that, Vector Control officials said if people find wild rodents or nests in living spaces like homes, garages and sheds, they should never sweep or vacuum up. Instead, if people have to clean, they should ventilate the areas and “wet clean,” using gloves, bags, and bleach and water solutions or disinfectants.

Hantavirus is common in San Diego County. This year, 36 wild rodents from various parts of the county have tested positive for hantavirus. Even so, people are generally unlikely to become exposed to wild rodents because those animals prefer to live away from people. However, wild rodents can seek shelter in homes, garages and sheds. Avoid Exposure to Hantavirus •Seal up all external holes in homes, garages and sheds larger than a dime to keep rodents from getting in. •Eliminate rodent infestations immediately. •Avoid rodent-infested areas and do not stir up dust or materials that may be contaminated with rodent droppings and urine. •Clean up rodent droppings and urine using the wet cleaning method. Use “Wet-cleaning” Methods to Prevent Inhaling the Virus •Do not sweep or vacuum infested areas. Thinking that it would be best to get it over with quickly, she took out his old Army pistol and made the decision to shoot herself in the heart, since it was badly broken in the first place. Not wanting to miss that vital organ and become a vegetable and a burden to someone, she called her doctor's office to inquire as to just exactly where the heart would be on a woman. The doctor told her, “Your heart would be just below your left breast.”

Aunt Mildred was admitted to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her knee.

WAYNE ALLYN ROOT: The Real Ukraine Scandal Leads to the Clinton Foundation October 10, 2019

President Trump has the highest approval rating among Republicans in history. 95%. No one is impeaching this president. Now, let’s discuss why this is happening.

Ukraine donated more money to the Clinton Foundation than China, UK, France, Germany or Saudi Arabia. Why would all this cash be coming from tiny Ukraine?

Because tiny Ukraine was the recipient of billions of dollars in US-taxpayer funded aid. It’s a million miles away. No one was watching. Leading Democrats extorted kickbacks on all this US foreign aid.

Dental Implants have received a lot of news coverage lately but the fact is, dental implantology has been around for quite awhile. Dr. James Khazian, of Escondido, for example, has been practicing dental implantation for most of the 30 years he has been in practice at his Escondido Clinic at 727 E. Grand Avenue.

He attended dental school at the University of the East in Manila, Phillipines, graduating in 1989. Following his graduation he began his practice focusing on dental surgery, restoration and implants. He does all the implant work as this is his area of specialty and he prefers the one-on-one relationship with his patients, rather than referring them out to some other specialist. Of course he has a dental hygienist as well as an efficient front office staff to see to your comfort and prompt service.

He has hired and trained his team to always work to exceed his patient’s expectations and seeks to offer only the absolute highest quality treatment and care. He and his staff treat patients as though they were family members. They also know that it is important to inform and educate their patients as to the best treatment options and help make those arrangements.

But if I’m wrong, why is this US charity based offshore? A charity owes no taxes on donations. So why not base your bank accounts in the USA?

Says Dr. Khazian: We know that dental implantology is a complex field, which requires close and constant attention to details. I strongly believe that modern technology should be embraced, and used intelligently by all professionals. Technological advances in the field of implant dentistry are exciting and valuable. With the advent of 3D imaging, computerized guided surgery, and stem cell applications we are able to utilize today’s innovations advancement and we are able to consistently apply our vast knowledge and experience in both surgical and restorative phases of dental implant treatments, and I’m proud of what my team and I are able to offer our patients. But I also believe we should never stop learning more and more. Science is moving forward fast, and we should keep pace. I believe cosmetic dentistry is an integral part of modern dentistry, and by applying my

Democrats under Obama got rich. Democrats treated Ukraine as their personal fiefdom. This is how politics works in the DC Swamp. I’ve been writing about the role of the Clinton Foundation for years. It’s my opinion the central role of the Clinton Foundation is to extort and launder bribes from foreign countries.

Supporting People and Jobs

My husband and I have owned our small retail business for over 25 years. The problems we encountered running that business were some of the primary reasons I first ran for public office. Since joining the Legislature, I have supported a wide range of legislation that would stimulate business formation and provide greater employment opportunities, more work-force training and greater job growth. Reducing burdensome regulations and needless bureaucracy also remains one of my highest priorities in Sacramento. Earlier this year, I was honored that the National Federation of Independent Businesses recognized me as a “Guardian of Small Business” for my work supporting California’s entrepreneurs. California’s small businesses employ over 7 million people, and make up over 95 percent of all businesses in this region. Earlier this month, the California Chamber of Commerce issued its annual legislative report for the first half of the 2019-2020 legislative session. CalChamber identified 20 priority bills that would have a major positive or negative impact on our economy. I am very pleased to report that I joined just six other Assemblymembers who achieved a 100% score for our votes to support

business and jobs in our state.

The surest path to prosperity for anyone is through a secure, wellpaying job. Our state has a lot going for it --- after all, we’re the world’s fifth largest economy. On the other hand, we also have the highest poverty rate in the country, which means there’s a lot more we can be doing to encourage business formation and retention, and to attract more businesses to our state so those jobs will be available. I look forward to continuing my work to help ensure business growth, job creation, and economic prosperity for all Californians. Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldron, R-Escondido, represents the 75th Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes the communities of Bonsall, Escondido, Fallbrook, Hidden Meadows, Pala, Palomar Mountain, Pauma Valley, Rainbow, San Marcos, Temecula, Valley Center and Vista.

A lot of great things are happening within District 5 and I wanted to update you on some of the happenings. Last Wednesday, I got a tour of 2-1-1. 211 is a resource and a way people can access health, social and disaster services. By simply dialing 211 the call is free, confidential and available in more than 200 languages. 211 provides access to 6,000 services, resources and programs.

Also last week, I was on KUSI to talk about our Veterans Moving Forward program. While most veterans are thriving members of our community, at any given time there are hundreds of veterans in local jails due to complex issues who may need additional support and resources to reintegrate into the community and find long-term stability. Through our Veterans Moving Forward program, we are helping to find the stability for the veterans once they leave jail. On Friday, I was part of the ribbon cutting ceremony for Cal State University San Marcos Extended Learning Building. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this will help the students at CSUSM!

When I was elected, North San Diego County was in a behavioral health crisis with the suspension of Tri-City Hospital’s Behavioral Health Unit. We have modernized our approach and are investing in “new behavioral health models” that will help serve the North County and provide the kinds of serv-

ices that our communities need most. We are adding Community Based and extremely accessible Crisis Stabilization Units to Oceanside and also working towards a second in the City of Vista. We have made recent investments at Tri-City hospital to establish a new Psychiatric Health Facility with 16 beds to address more acute illness along with the behavioral health investments already made at Palomar Hospital. I am very pleased with this forward progress and what a difference 10 months can make.

Because they don’t have to report to the US government what comes in, or where the money is going. Simple: Offshore = no reporting. The Clinton Foundation could not afford to have anyone look at their books. In my opinion, Hillary was running her version of the Gambino Crime Family slush fund. Jimmy Hoffa and the teamsters had nothing on the Clintons. And everyone in the Democrat Party and Deep State got a piece, to ensure no one would rat.

The name Dr. Del is easy to remember; much easier than his given name, Dr. Emmanuel Delagrammaticas, which is a Greek name. His grandparents were from Greece and he understands the language quite well. He came to America when he was only eight years old and grew up in LA. His dad had a dental laboratory making crowns and bridges for dentists so the dentistry came to him quite easily. Still, once he decided to pursue dentistry as a profession he want to Georgetown University in Washington, D. C., one of the premier colleges in America.

I believe Trump’s phone call to Ukraine’s president set off alarm bells. Trump is digging in places no one has ever dared dig before. He could expose the extortion and bribery racket of leading Democrats. That’s why the Deep State decided to come after Trump. He’s messing with their livelihood. He’s upsetting their apple cart. If he’s allowed to investigate, the jig is up. I believe Obama named Biden his sacrificial lamb, just in case Hillary didn’t win and all of this could not be covered up. Biden is a crook. But he’s a careless fool too. It was easy to make him the fall guy. Trust me. This is Obama and Hillary’s scandal. Biden is just an order taker.

So, let me make this clear to Democrats: We have your number. Justice will be served. And you’re never, ever impeaching our hero, President Trump. This isn’t Ukraine. We don’t punish the investigator in the United States of America. We punish the criminals.

Better known in TV and movies audiences as “Eddie Albert,” he was born April 22, 1906, in Rock Island, Ill. He was nominated twice for Best Supporting Actor (Roman Holiday, 1954; The Heartbreak Kid, 1973), and appeared in some 90 television productions. Among his many top film performances include “Brother Rat,” “Oklahoma,” “Captain Newman, M.D.,” and “The Longest Yard.” Prior to the War, Albert had toured Mexico working as a clown and highwire artist with a Circus, but secretly, he worked for U.S. Army intelligence, photographing German U-boats moored in Mexican harbors.

As a teenager, he went to Central High School in Minneapolis and joined the drama club with schoolmate Harriette Lake (later known as actress Ann Sothern). They graduated in the class of 1926. Then Albert entered the University of Minnesota, where he majored in business. After graduation, he embarked on a business career, but the stock market crash in 1929, left him unemployed. Albert stopped using his last name since it invariably was mispronounced as “Hamburger.” He moved to New York City in 1933, where he co-hosted a radio show. After the show's three-year run, Albert was offered a film contract by Warner Bros. Eddie Albert became one of the earliest television actors, performing live in one of RCA's first television broadcasts. While his practice is that of General Dentistry, fillings, crowns, cleaning, etc., he also does implants. He is ecstatic about his ability to help his patients with his 3-dimensional scan image equipment that allows him to, with great flexibility, closely look at fantastic images to precisely place implants but he also has been able to discover other areas the may pose significant medical problems. For example, he can see plaque building up on a carotid artery . . . and he then refers his patient to their cardiologist or other physician who can deal with a potential problem. “It has become an integral part of our practice,” he says. “We find medical issues and refer out to physicians; we can see the sinus cavities, arteries, we can detect ENT problems and refer to specials in the medical field; meanwhile we are also able to address the dental issues of our patients with even more precision. Another reason we love the 3D feature of the Cerect Cad Cam equipment is that we can scan, turn the results into an on-site millling machine and it makes crowns while the patient waits. Very successful; very predictable. It makes our work with implants so much easier . . . for both me and the patient.” Dr. Del smiled when he recalled his children. “They were only about six years old when I started my practice here. Today, my son is an orthopedic surgeon, graduating from Georgetown University, and practicing in San Luis Obispo, with three children of his own; my daughter manages the surgical department at Northwestern

Phone Addiction and other Challenges of Technology

As I write this article, I suspect I’m not the only one who tends to struggle with “screen addiction” and spends more time with my phone than I probably should during the day. The younger reader can probably relate to this … when adding up the time spent on Instagram, Facebook, etc. Older readers may struggle a bit less. (If you are reading this “online” and that counts of course)! One thing is certain… we all need a “healthy” approach to our technology. Space won’t permit my addressing the many challenges that the internet brings (pornography, division, gossip, distraction, etc.). This would take up the entire “The

For instance, one of the biggest challenges of social media is the problem of “comparison.” Sometimes, we spend a lot of time projecting a happier life than we have. We can find ourselves envious of others and their exciting life. The “me-centeredness” can bring out the “narcissist” in all of us. Further, the concept of “community” can be lost in the digital world. I have about 1500 + friends on Facebook and occasionally I have to stop and remind myself of how I know some of them.

It might be a good test to take a break from social media and even your iPhone. Have a real face to face conversation, a meal which goes uninterrupted, and even write to someone and NOT in an email. Stop taking your phone to bed with you. Stop and remember that God is everywhere. Take some time to seek His presence and hear His “still small voice”. San Marcos among the lowest crime rates in San Diego County

San Marcos has some of the lowest crime rates among the 18 incorporated cities in San Diego County, according to new data from the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG).

When compared to the county’s incorporated cities, San Marcos has lowest overall property crime rate, which includes non-violent crimes such as burglaries, auto thefts and vandalism. San Marcos also has thesecond lowest overall crime rate, which includes all violent and nonviolent crimes. This underscores a recent downward trend in San Marcos crime. The City’s property crime rate is 8.94% — which is a 46% drop since 2015. The City’s overall crime rate is 11.03% — which is a 40% drop since 2015.

Escondido • Mayor Paul “Mac” Mcnamara Greetings Escondido,

So, let’s talk about my real third thing that keeps me up at nightthe budget. First, a couple baseline points that should be noted. The city is required to balance the budget. So, when you hear folks saying they balanced the budget, well you have to. And for the next 18 years we have a projected deficit that is 10% or more of the General Fund. That should concern you. This information was presented in June 2019 when we passed the budget for this fiscal year (FY.) Our FY by the way is from July 1 through June 30 and this FY we are OK. Next year the challenge begins. More to follow… I stated this last week but I think it is worth mentioning again, it’s the FREE Thanksgiving Event at the Center of the Arts Concert Hall. It’s November 26th at 7PM. It has a great Thanksgiving message for the entire family http://artcenter.org/event/a-thanksgiving-gathering/#attend.

Be Prepared. Not Scared

In the State of California, we understand that a wildfire could flare up any moment, especially when gusty Santa Ana winds are expected along with low humidity.

Our Vista Fire Department encourages residents to be extra vigilant during our hot, dry, and windy days.

Vista Fire Chief Ned Vander Pol reminds the public to sign up for San Diego County’s free notification system called Alert San Diego. This regional system is used to alert the public during evacuations and emergencies. “This type of notification,” said Chief Vander Pol, “is one of the most important tools residents can use to keep informed about an incident near them or if they need to evacuate.” I encourage everyone to register their cell phones at ReadySanDiego.org. Landlines are automatically included in the system. When on ReadySanDiego.org, check the many resources and information about home and evacuation preparedness, as well. Together, we can be better prepared when a disaster or emergency strikes.

The unique factor in our pracice, - we prefer to see kids when they are 7 years old because that’s when we can evaluate growth and development in a young child . . . and, with orthodontia, help mold their teeth, mouth, jaw and facial structure most efficiently. We also can screen for sleep apnea.

Orthodontics is a specialty area of dentistry. We study and train for an additional two years, Basically, orthodontia allows us to biologically move teeth within the jaw also to change and redirect growth and development of teeth and the jaw line and improve the facial dimension. We have about 25% of our patients who are adults, the other 75% are children. We utilize a variety of techniques including Invisalign and retainers. We offer complimentary exams for kids and have an x-ray machine in our office which presents a three dimensional image of the face, skull and soft tissue airways. This allows us to evaluate size and shape and to offer suggestions for corrections and/or enhancement and to detect any

obstruction.

Each year we recommend probably 500 kids to get their tonsils and adenoids removed. This is all life changing for kids . . . both in general growth, as well as brain growth. We work closely with pediatric nose and throat physicians at Rady Hospital for treatment of apnea.

We also offer early intervention on sleep apnea . . . in short, we do all we can to give our patients not only a beautiful smile but also proper growth.” For 18 years she has practiced orthodontia at her clinic. She did her undergraduate work at Loyola’s Marymont University in LA where she attended on a full scholarship thanks to her basketball skills. She was a three sport athlete but dominated in basketball even though she only stands 5’5”. After her school years she continued to play basketball until she turned 40. Is AMD once again kicking Intel’s butt?

Before we talk about the new PCs we build, we should remind our readers that in 54 days Microsoft will end support for our all time favorite, Windows7. Most PCs born with Win7 can successfully upgrade to Windows10 at a cost between $120 and $165 depending on whether or not files back-up and reinstallation is required. The entire process takes about a day and a half. We also have a large inventory of Windows 10 enterprise “refurbs” (desktop and notebook) that are higher in quality, reliability and performance and about half the price when compared to the newest “retail” PCs. Northwestern School of Dentistry in Evanston, Illinois, then served at Ravenswood Hospital, near Chicago. She joined Dr. Larrry Michel in 2001 and when he retired she took over the practice.

Back to our new PC builds with a little bit of history: Over the past twenty five years we’ve been witness to the “who builds the best CPU” battle between AMD and Intel. In the 1980s and 90s Intel was the “performance” leader and AMD the “value” (price/performance) leader. In the late 1990s AMD terminated its licensing agreement with Intel and began to design its own CPUs. AMD’s new Athlon CPU soon eclipsed Intel’s Pentium IV in “performance” and “value” and in 2007 AMD actually passed Intel to become the leader in CPUs made for PCs. Intel regained the lead with its introduction of the Core2 processors in 2008 and for the next decade these companies maintained their traditional roles with Intel the “performance” leader and AMD the “value” leader. In mid 2019 AMD introduced its third generation Ryzen series of CPUs and recaptured both the “performance” and “value” leadership from Intel’s ten year old i series of CPUs. From 2010 through 2016 The Computer Factory typically built “value” PCs using AMD Athlon and FX CPUs and “performance” systems (gamer, designer) using high end i-5 and i-7 CPUs from Intel. Since 2016 the high quality, low priced Intel “refurb” PCs coming from industry, government and school replacement cycles largely

She received her dental degree in Peru then moved to America where she had to begin studies all over in order to pass the required state boards. She successfully passed them in 2001 so is now a registered dentist both here and in Peru!

satisfied the demand of our small business and home users for “value” PC systems, as a result most of our recent in-house builds have been Intel based “performance” systems. AMD’s retaking the high ground in both “value” and “performance” has been a game changer for us. Power users like gamers and designers are now soliciting quotes from us for AMD Ryzen based systems. In addition powerful “value” Ryzen workstations with prices under $500 are beginning to compete with “refurbs” in the “value” markets. We have built an inventory of “off the shelf, ready to go” Ryzen “value” systems. Our PCs have always been manufactured to the “workstation standards” more

Dr. Karina Gregg, DDS

Dr. Gregg grew up in Peru, came to America as an Exchange Student in 1998 and leanred our language.

She returned to Brazil where she met a handsome young man who would become her husband. They have one son, age 14, who attends San Marcos High School and played football in this, his freshman year. Both he and his parents love San Marcos High School!

Dr. Gregg pursued dentistry as a profession because she loves working with her hands and enjoys dealing with her patients. Her oldest brother is a physician and, for a time, she considered going into medicine but

In 2011 she started her own practice and today offers an intimate, one-onone setting with herself as dentist, and four hygienists. This highly efficient team forms a great General Practice, dealing with families with patients of all ages, children, adults, and seniors, cleaning, fillings, crowns, she does it all. “We really love the community; the community has helped us grow. Our patients are very, very special to us. We care a lot about them. Our front desk people are very good at accommodating needs of patients. It’s a very nice place to work. I’m very proud of our team.

common in “enterprise” computers as opposed to the cheaply constructed “retail” PCs sold in the “big box” stores like Best Buy, Fry’s and Costco. We use ASUS motherboards, Samsung and Western Digital storage drives and packaged Intel and AMD processors in all of our “in house” products.

We are feeling pretty good about The Computer Factory these days. With 25 years in the business right here in San Marcos, our design and manufacturing capabilities, our “refurb” inventories and our repair and upgrade expertise, we cover a broader spectrum than anyone in our business. We are filling an important need in our community and we’re doing it well. It doesn’t get much better than that.

On Sept. 9, 1942, Albert enlisted in the United States Navy and became an officer. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat "V" for his heroism during the 1943 invasion of Tarawa. As commander of a landing craft, Albert, under heavy enemy fire, rescued 77 Marines stranded offshore. After the war, Albert starred in “On Your Toes.” Back on Broadway he did hit shows such as “The Seven Year Itch” (1952–1955) and in 1960 Albert replaced Robert Preston in “The Music Man.” In 1965, Albert starred in “Green Acres,” co-starring Eva Gabor as his urbanite, spoiled wife. The show was an immediate hit. Then, in 1975, Albert starred in the popular crime drama “Switch” as a retired police officer, Frank McBride, who goes to work as a private detective.

In his personal life, Albert married Mexican actress Margo María Castilla in 1945. They had a son, Edward Jr., in 1951, who also became an actor. They adopted a daughter, Maria, who became her father's business manager. Margo Albert died from brain cancer in 1980. In his final years, Albert suffered from Alzheimer’s. Edward Jr., put his acting career on hold to care for his father. Albert senior died of pneumonia in 2005 at the age of 99. He is interred at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery, next to his late wife and close to his Green Acres co-star Eva Gabor. Edward Jr. died a year after his father, suffering from lung cancer. He was 55.
