ABOUT MALTA & QAWRA

A COASTAL REBIRTH

The Maltese Islands are a year-round destination in the sun-soaked Mediterranean Sea , known for their rich culture, history and gastronomy spanning centuries.

Laying south of Sicily, Italy, the islands have been ruled over time by many conquerors, from the Phoenicians to the British, and have absorbed many of these cultures and influences, resulting in the diverse and dynamic place it is today.

ODYCY is set in the coastal town of Qawra in popular St Paul’s Bay, commanding an enviable position as the main development on its seafront promenade.

The site of Qawra itself is fortified by towers built by the Knights in 1637 to watch over the peninsula and its neighbouring bays. The purpose-built holiday resort of Qawra, set on a rocky shoreline, was later created to attract tourism to the region, and ODYCY is set to bring about a renaissance of this famed destination to its former glory days.
