HOAR CROSS HALL HOTEL

THE PROJECT
£
£500K

A unique treasure, set amongst the Staffordshire countryside, Hoar Cross Hall Hotel needed a fresh lick of paint and some updated bathrooms. The scope of the project included internal decoration of the guest bedrooms including bathroom re-fits, plastering and electrical services. During the project, we utilised 20 of our directly employed operatives including two apprentices. The project spanned over six months and minor pre-paint repairs were completed before the project commenced.
INNOVATIONS
Our thorough understanding of the hotel and leisure industry allowed us to develop a close relationship with the staff at Hoar Cross Hall Hotel. We understood that guests may have found it unsightly to see tradespeople conducting work within high footfall areas so to ensure we didn’t encroach on their stay, we programmed in these works during quieter hours. Being a luxury hotel too, a large and exposed site compound would have been an eyesore for guests visiting. So, to disguise the compound, we constructed fence panels around the structure, fitted with camouflage netting to blend in with the background.
SOLUTION
Seeing the New Year in with the revamp of the hotel, our operatives painted away, freshening up the Grade II listed building as they went. Due to the size of the building, we were given a floor at a time to complete. The safety of both our client’s staff and their guests were our utmost priority and as such we took extra steps to protect guest access routes to their rooms. We understood that any unnecessary noise could disrupt the guests’ stay but at times, noisy work needed to be completed. We worked closely with the management team of the hotel to devise a timed plan where guests were least likely to be in their rooms - this was mostly in the afternoon when guests were enjoying the spa facilities.
Due to the type of work, we required the assistance of multiple trades. Our dedicated Contract Manager diligently coordinated our tradespeople ensuring health and safety compliance at all times.
THE RESULTS
The luxury resort now has a fresh, periodic finish, reflective of its heritage and style. By maintaining a close relationship, the hotel was able to fully function during our time at the venue - much to the delight of staff and guests. Duration
