CLC was tasked with a large-scale project of redecoration at the Tamworth Enterprise College. The college is a part of Lift Schools (formerly known as Academies Enterprise Trust) which has a chain of 57 academy schools across the country. CLC has worked with the Trust before on several projects since 2022. This particular project required the redecoration of communal areas and corridors in the original ‘white block building’, the newer main building, and the theatre, sports hall, gymnasium and pool building.
SOLUTION
We completed the redecoration of around 4500m² of walls and ceilings within the college, including painting, timberwork, doors, and skirting. Through hard work from our directly employed operatives and excellent organisation from the client Site Managers, the project went ahead smoothly and was completed within three weeks. This combination is vital when completing jobs in the education sector due to the quick turnarounds required to complete work outside of term time to avoid disruption to the staff and students.
THE RESULTS
The college has now had a well-needed refresh and was completed in time, ready for the new academic year. The project has provided the staff and students with a bright and fun environment for learning and the client was delighted with the end product.
