Among a team our role was to plan and design the prototypical architectural design of a 4-phase master plan in an efficient and timeless manner. the presented building is one in 22 prototypes aiming to serve different areas of the 182 building plots of the master plan. My role was mainly in the planning and development of the plan of the project with a couple of building having their facade designed.
Developing a concept for a serviced apartments building located in one of Dubai thriving areas. The design aims to create a building that serves a tight economic situation as well as create a everlasting impression on the user as well as the surrounding area. My rols was to give design options for the builsign as well as develop the 14 different floor plates of the building.

ARCHITECTURAL WORKS Concept Highrise Projects Residential Apartments in Sharjah, uae among a team of 2, we developed the concept of one of three residential buildings along the water front in Sharjah, aiming to maximize the view of each bay apartment and creating timeless architecture. my role was to develop the plans and the facade option from three options presented to Client.
Plot Strategy The third plot had a prime location of various wide and narrow water front views.
Podium Variations
aya fayez - architecture portfolio
In the two towers with close proximity to each other and no street / sikka between them; it was suggested to amalgamate the podiums of the two towers creating a generous common space with luxurious amenities and efficient parking
the design manages to provide full and partial views for all the units.
Not only does the living/ Dining area has views, but more like every single bay in the building,

Transportation
Users Distribution
The projects proposed are placed at the locations they are based on the studied contextual activities, such as the famous trade areas, workshops, publishing centres, heritage buildings, theatrical complexes and the downtown CBD
Vision
Deciding on the diverse projects and their well studied locations, various user groups would be attracted to the site. They range from the differently oriented locals to the tourist who may not only be interested in the history but also business
30
Site Plan Development
Al Azbakeya presents all the cultural aspects needed to establish a successful creative economy model from the architectural heritage, the book market, Al attaba trade Node, The National Theatre, The Downtown Central Business District. The proposed functions are complimentary to each sector of the creative economy model to create a creative cluster.

Site Plan Solid and Void
CONCEPT The site conditions and the studies inspired having the site as two entities, where the different clusters form fingers where the common area of one cluster doesn’t correspond to the common area of the cluster on the opposite entity. That is in the notion of creating cluster spaces that are more bound by the units the serve such that their privacy is not invaded. The cluster spaces are designed such that they together with the areas in front of them create abstracted geometrical forms. The Cluster spaces together with the public common area at the centre of the complex form a spine that can act as the main attraction space having greenery, water feature and a common service place ( The club house)
Pedestrian Walkways
Vehicle Roads
Hierarchy of Green Spaces
Natural Features
Public services and Possible Nodes
Studies Starting with two entities as the main building block for the form generation, it was then divided in the different possible cluster configurations that would maximize the utility of the view and the open spaces.
Adding the layers of the location of the view concerning the two different features, the cluster configuration was designed such that each unit has natural ventilation and view in all its vital rooms.
With the cluster configurations set to maximize the view and the ventilation at each unit, the clusters at each entity are designed to be not corresponding to each other, but rather alternating in the cluster and the green areas.

Blow Ups (Not to Scale) Capsuling the essence of energy in an architectural design is not easy. It needs to capture the physical/obvious side of energy; its negative pole. It also needs to capture to the metaphysical/unseen side of energy; its positive pole. And finally there needs to be a moment of realization, of the integration of these two poles creating the so called ‘balance’. To express the different sides of energy, structural systems were used. There are frames that are very rigid and calling to be seen, showing the physical, negative side of energy. On the other hand, Cables are light, made structurally stable through tension forces. These cables are hold the arch, the good side of energy, and preventing it from falling. This light structure illustrates the positive, metaphysical side of energy. Site Layout (Not to Scale)

the seating organization consists of two main parts; the main seat and the spinal continuation of it. The main seat is of a pentagonal shape, where each side would accomadate one person. there is also a central back which is meant to provide comfort for the seat as wel as add beauty, topography. The spine part acts as an extension, shaped to be used as a coach or multiple seatings. It breaks the symmetry in a very delegate way as well.

edestrian Experience
The final idea of the design is to create the maximum open area for the pedestrian’s use. In addition to having the total area without any vehicle circulation inside as a park, the ground floor of the buildings were designed to be demolished such that a totally opened area is created.
