WellStar Health System Welcomes Nancy Doelling, M.D. as Vice President of Pediatric Acute Care Services
MARIETTA, Ga. (June XX, 2014) – WellStar Health System is pleased to announce Nancy Doelling, M.D. as vice president of Pediatric Acute Care Services. With career experience in pediatric care, Doelling is uniquely qualified to launch pediatric acute care services at WellStar.
Doelling will plan, direct, coordinate and execute long-term initiatives for the provision of pediatric acute services throughout the WellStar Health System. She is very excited about the opportunities ahead in pediatrics at WellStar.

Prior to joining WellStar, Doelling served nine years as pediatric hospitalist, medical director of Scottish Rite Inpatient Pediatrics and medical director of Scottish Rite Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Doelling began her career in finance after graduating from The University of Georgia with a BBA Finance she worked in the financial industry as a money market officer and foreign exchange trader. She was inspired to enter the field of medicine and follow her passion to work with children. She graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2000, then completed residency in Pediatrics with Emory University in 2003. Upon completion of her training she served with Sibley Heart Center Cardiology as medical director of the Cardiac Step Down Unit for 2 years before joining Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in 2005.
Doelling will be intimately involved in the new WellStar Pediatric System scheduled to open July 7, 2014 on Barrett Parkway. This addition will offer after-hours care and low dose imaging along with a variety of other services.
