INSURANCE & EMPLOYEE BENEFITS SOUTHEAST INSURANCE, INC. KRISTI STOCKER, OWNER, SOUTHEAST INSURANCE, INC. Shortly after Kristi Stocker entered life insurance sales, she became one of the top three agents in the United States. She realized her interest was in the life, health and investment business, and joined Southeast Insurance in McGehee. With company owner John Clower, she formed Southeast Insurance of Crossett, Inc. Within two years, she purchased the agency and became its sole owner. She sought to make it easy to do business by “providing extra-ordinary service and solutions to extra-ordinary cli-ents” and has continued with this commitment for 25 years. Today, Southeast Insurance is a Preferred Agency for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas and specializes in health insurance, employee benefits, and Medicare supple-mental insurance. The company has a 98 percent client retention rate, which speaks directly to the satisfaction with the services Southeast provides, and Stocker has been honored with many awards and recognition from some of the top insurance companies in the United States. But according to her, the biggest reward is her customers, many of whom have been with her since the opening of the agency in Crossett. “I have always had a desire to provide great service to my clients, and then go the extra mile to bring extra-ordinary service to them, services they had no idea were even available.” In addition to owning Southeast Insurance and two other companies, Stocker is very passionate about and heavily involved in the Crossett community. “I am very passionate about taking pride in the community I live in,” she says. “My motto, in every part of my life is, ‘small things make a BIG difference.’” Kristi Stocker • Southeast Insurance, Inc. • 870-364-5644 • 501-581-8717 • SoutheastInsuranceAR.com southeastinsuranceinc

FACES OF BUSINESS

FACE OF BUSINESS SERVICES CONSULTANT TURNBOW CORPORATION JEFF TURNBOW, OWNER Jeff Turnbow used to be afraid of flying and public speaking; however, others’ desire to hear and learn his ideas on marketing, strategy, leadership and training have helped the Conway-based consultant get over his fears and become an internationally-recognized marketing expert, best-selling author and speaker. The Turnbow Corporation was founded as a small agency 17 years ago and would take on any client willing to pay. Today, Turnbow has personally consulted more than 3,000 diverse businesses in four states. “We stay ahead of all the advanced marketing tools, and we have decades of relationships within the industry,” Turnbow says. “This provides the know-how and partnerships to accomplish extraordinary goals.” He says he started his firm to “help the underdog – the small business.” “The small business community is the backbone of our society, yet they so often lack the proper resources and authentic partnerships needed to reach their vision effectively.” Turnbow says he is inspired and continually motivated by the feeling of creating programs that have an outstanding return on their investment. “My talents and skills impact the lives at every business we serve,” he says. “I know that what I do affects the employees of that organization. I carry that responsibility very seriously, and so I become a part of my client’s company. It is a very personal experience for me to direct a successful strategy.” While Turnbow says he may seem like an overnight success because of the recognition he has received in the past two years, he says it is the fruit of more than 15 years of labor. Listening with commitment and asking great questions helps to set him and his firm apart. He recently was selected among 25 other professionals to write a chapter for a compilation book by Jack Canfield, author of “Chicken Soup for the Soul.” The book made four best-sellers lists on Amazon.com, and Turnbow’s chapter won the editor’s choice award. “From there, I began getting requests for speaking, motivational lectures, and keynote engagements internationally. Now I am writing two books to release by 2020. “I love what I do, and I am very thankful every single day.” Jeff Turnbow • Turnbow Corporation • 501-505-6278 • www.JeffTurnbow.com JeffATurnbow realjeffturnbow jeffturnbow

ORTHO KNOERNSCHILD ORTHODONTICS DR. CARMELLA MONTEZ KNOERNSCHILD, OWNER Dr. Carmella Montez Knoernschild says she decided to become a dentist and orthodontist as a tenth grader at Fayetteville High School. As an upperclassman, she took two years of vocational classes to learn how to be a dental assistant and landed a job with a local dentist, whom she worked for through high school and college. “I loved dentistry and helping people of all ages with a beautiful and healthy smile,” Knoernschild says. “Once I was accepted into dental school, I became fascinated with the art of orthodontics. I graduated second in my dental school class and was accepted to Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry Orthodontic program. I was in Boston for four years before returning back home to Arkansas. I have been in love with my career ever since.” Dr. K, as she is affectionately called, started practicing in Arkansas as an associate in Hot Springs in 1992. She launched her own practice two years later and relocated it to Russellville in 2000. Her orthodontics practice specializes and treats patients of all ages with dental and facial irregularities. She incorporates fixed or removable braces to correct problems that involve the movement of teeth or growth of the jaws. “I was one of the first female orthodontist to have her own practice in Arkansas and was voted ‘Best New Dentist’ among my dental professional peers shortly afterward,” she says. Knoernschild has the only board-certified orthodontic practice in the River Valley and is one of only a few orthodontic practices to have a Master Certification in the Invisalign system. The practice employs 10 registered dental assistants and office staff members. “We take tremendous pride in the care of all of our patients and have an outstanding reputation for having a very well organized and efficiently run practice,” Knoernschild says. “We are proud to have more positive Google and Facebook reviews of any independently-owned orthodontic practice in Arkansas. I have no other satellite offices, in other words, my patients have access to my office at least four days a week for appointments and consultations about braces and the Zoom whitening.” “I love the art and skillful design of making beautiful smiles on people young and old,” she says. “It’s never too late to have the smile you’ve always wanted.” Dr. Carmella Montez Knoernschild • Knoernschild Orthodontics • 479-968-2138 • noyuckbraces.com

FAMILY LAW KNOLLMEYER LAW OFFICE MICHAEL KNOLLMEYER, OWNER The attorneys at the Knollmeyer Law Office strive to be different by putting their clients’ needs first. One of the main ways they do that is by conducting a cost-benefit analysis before they take on any case. “We are very concerned with being cost- effective for our clients. If we think that the cost will be higher than the benefit to the client, we tell them that at our first meeting,” says firm owner Michael Knollmeyer. “We organize and systematize our procedures to be cost effective for our clients. We charge flat or step fees, and, by limiting the areas of our practice, achieve efficiency, which allows cost effective solutions for our clients. “Most potential clients are surprised to learn that our services are available on a flat fee and step fee basis. They can be certain of the cost and that we want to minimize the cost.” Knollmeyer launched his firm in a small office in Jacksonville, Ark., in September 1986. Started on a very small and low overhead basis, it grew naturally over the decades, one client at a time. Today, he practices with associate attorney Lonnie Grimes. “We really enjoy interacting with our clients and helping them avert disaster,” he says. “Many times it’s an overwhelming situation for them, but we can make it manageable for them.” His primary areas of law include divorce, bankruptcy and Social Security disability. He was attracted to a legal career after taking an undergraduate business law class. “I was fascinated by the law and decided to go to law school.” It has been a solid career choice. He says his greatest professional achievement is earning the respect of clients, the courts and colleagues for several decades. “It’s earned one case at a time and on the line in every case.” Honesty from first meeting through the verdict, he says, is the best policy for dealing with clients. “We do not sugarcoat our evaluations. We do not try to give them the impression if they hire us things will work out better than they really will. We tell them exactly what the odds and possible outcomes are and what the cost will be and how we will handle the case. Over the course of the process, they see that we definitely want to help them all we can, and that we do everything we can to help them.” Michael Knollmeyer • Knollmeyer Law Office • 501-985-1760 • www.knollmeyerlawofficear.com AMPPOB.COM | 57 KnollmeyerLaw

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHO’S ACCOUNTABLE, JUST READ THE NAME ON THE DOOR “Since 1933, Stephens has operated under the vision and values set forth by my father and my uncle. They held themselves directly accountable for the success of their clients, valuing relationships much more than transactions. I saw their integrity in action, sometimes at the expense of the firm—but always what they thought was right. They built their names upon the respect and honesty of these long-term partnerships. To this day, all of us at Stephens work the same way.” — Warren Stephens, CEO
