“The creation of life and the living is and must be the fundamental criteria for our activities when we build the environment� Christopher Alexander Architecture is in our cities, streets, homes, interiors, in everywhere all the time! We are surrounded with it and it is a part of our life. As an architect, it makes me think about that everyday I have some lessons to learn in my daily life. Everything in our lives like eating, dancing, feeling comfortable, walking, sleeping touches to the architecture. Because it is all about life! This is an amazing opportunity and no other profession does not have this chance. While everything is related to the architecture, it is very diffucult to define what makes architecture successful. I believe that it should not be creating shiny renderings, dynamic arrows in diagrams or very well photoshoped section drawings. It should be regarding to thinking the life proposed with our design, the whole system, impacts of our design to the environment, comfort of the users, beauty and health of our design.

Cooperative building is used in the “ARCH 8563Energy and Indoor Environmental Quality in Sustainable Design� course to design deeper. It is 180.000 square feet mixed used building. The building includes two main different functions which are manufacturing and social community center. The project follows ARCH 2030 with 70% energy reduction. Revit Green Design Studio, Sketch-up Sefaira, Climate Consultant and Comfen are used to provide building performance analysis.

I have done many different scaled projects to create 3D models, drawing set and rendering in the class. One of the assignments was designing an apartment complex in the given site. 09 CAFE-ORCHESTRA Undergraduate- Interior Design Studio The concept of the cafe is determined as "rhythm" because of the relationship of having music in the space. The cafe will be located in the fifth floor of the Kultur University. Faculty, staff and students can listen music and have fun together in the area. The rhythm will be established by exploiting the varience in the heights differences due to the functional differences such as bar vs. eating dinner.
BADEMLI URBAN CONSERVATION 10 MS-Historic Preservation Studio Project Bademli is a district which is located within the borders of İzmir, Ödemiş province. It is remarkable for old village houses (traditional civil architecture), a central square with a centurial tree, a XVI. century mosque and natural beauty. Because of economical insufficiency and the tendency of the local users to preserve the local values, the historic district is protected well. However, recent migration to Ödemiş threats the heritage of the region. As a result of decisions in 1991, 1998, 2001, 2007, certain monumental and residential buildings within the boundaries of the district were listed as “to be protected as cultural heritage.” In 2008, the historic area, which intersects with the studied area of this project, at the center of the district, was listed as “protected site.” For the aforesaid area, “The Principals of Protection and Use for The Transition Period of Bademli” were prepared. However, a master plan for the protected area has not been prepared yet. The objective of this project, thus, is to develop a new point of view to the ongoing Master Plan Preparation Work for the Protection of Bademli and to bring forward necessary proposals for the district through a determined plot area in a sustainable schema. Besides, certain interventions are aimed to be proposed in order for Bademli to develop without losing its unique and historical properties.
