The Museum in Holešovice prague 7 is designed with a focus on simplicity, functionality, and sustainability.
The minimalist facade with panoramic windows plays with natural light, creating an inviting rhythm.
Flexible exhibition spaces use both natural and artificial lighting to highlight the art.
Emphasizing interactivity, the museum integrates advanced technologies to offer immersive experiences, harmonizing with the cultural richness of its surroundings.
This is not just a place for viewing art but a space that offers choices, allowing visitors to explore exhibitions, lectures, and interactive displays.
terrain context
Daylight as a light source results in minimal overheads.
Overhead lighting: advantages, independent of orientation, not affected by overhanging trees or neighbouring buildings, easy to regulate (louvered ceiling), low reflection, light more widely distributed over exhibit area; disadvantages, strong heat generation, risk of damage from water and condensation, only diffuse light.
Window lighting: view out (relaxing), room easily ventilated and kept at a uniform temperature, better lighting of groups and individual exhibits, lighting of display cases from the rear.

Through research on themes like “dip into the green,” “reflect,” and “glow,” this project investigates the overlap of natural and artificial environments.
Today, more than ever, design intersects with nature—welcome to the age of biology.
open art stage 2023-24.
The concept focuses on creating a clear connection between the stage, the viewer, and the quarry.
The spectator's 360-degree rotating seat provides a full view of the quarry, enhancing the perception of the territory and enabling dynamic performances.
The stage is fully visible, while advanced light and sound technology above the seating area elevates the experience. With a capacity of over 150 people, the design combines functionality and immersion.
Main stage: Spectators view performances on the primary stage.
Dynamic intermission: Seats rotate to reveal a smaller stage above, where actors transition between levels of the quarry.
