Tenerife duo up for World Golf Awards
STUNNING: The Ritz-Carlton, Abama is one of two Tenerife courses up for a prestigious award TWO OF TENERIFE’S golf courses are in the running for global recognition after being shortlisted for the 2015 World Golf Awards, to be held in Portugal later this year. The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on November 7 and Golf Las Américas and The Ritz-Carlton, Abama, have both been nominated as ‘Spain’s Best Golf Course’. Designed by John Jacobs and measuring 6,617 yards, Golf Las Américas is situated in the heart of Playa de Las Américas, and is renowned for its excellent condition all-year-round. The par-72 championship layout has hosted numerous high-profile events and stands out for its fantastic location in a natural amphitheatre, offering superb ocean views of the island of La Gomera.
Guests can take advantage of some outstanding golf breaks and stay-and-play packages at both venues this summer: One night’s B&B for two people at the Hotel Las Madrigueras Golf Resort & Spa, including 18 holes at Golf Las Americas from €202 (valid from June 1 to September 30, 2015).
