The first baseball caps have been around since 1860 when the Brooklyn Excelsior’s wore the first ancestor hats with a short peak to shield their players eyes from the sun. Since then, the classic Brooklyn style cap has evolved into the modern rounded-top baseball cap with a long peak, snap back and button on top.

The floppy ancestors also became more structured with a reinforced front and higher profile to better display the baseball team’s logo. The baseball cap was and still is an important symbol, to identify with a sports team and show your loving support.
