Designed and developed in Germany

Our highly talented development team in Stuttgart is responsible for the innovative design of new products. The outstanding textile designs are also created in this picturesque region. Korntex exports its products to almost all corners of the world and therefore makes a significant contribution to strengthening the domestic economy.

The colours shown in the catalog may differ slightly from the original, as they appear differently depending on the light source. The exact reproduction of textile colours on paper print is almost impossible, especially with neon colours. We listen carefully to your feedback and are constantly working on making improvements. Therefore, our products may show slight differences in certain productions, e.g. in the colour of the hem or Velcro. If you order larger quantities, we will gladly send you a sample so that you can check the colours. Please note that there may be slight variations in the fabric colour depending on the batch.

CO 2-NEUTRAL HIGH-VISIBILITY VESTS!”

Here at Korntex, we are aware of our responsibility towards the environment. Our primary goal is to reduce our ecological footprint in a sustainable way.

In 2021, the independent organization Fokus Zukunft (fokus-zukunft.com) carefully examined our entire value chain and calculated the precision of the CO2 emissions per high-visibility vest produced. This represented a major step towards climate protection.

As a result, we decided to take a ground-breaking approach and pioneer the industry by developing and producing the world’s first CO2-neutral high-visibility vest. In 2022, we proudly launched the “Paris“ high-visibility vest, an outstanding product that offers companies the opportunity to also focus on sustainability when purchasing safety vests.

To offset our negative carbon footprint, we invested in our first climate measure - the construction of a wind farm in China. This wind farm generates clean energy that is used exclusively for the production of our vests. At the same time, this helps to keep climate-damaging lignite in the soil instead of extracting it.

Due to the enormous success of the basic high-visibility vest “Paris”, we were delighted to present the multifunctional high-visibility vest “Hamburg” (item KXCMF) in 2023 - another completely climate-neutral innovation. In 2024, we are set to continue this same success story with the Korntex kidswear collections “Action Line” and “Funtastic Wildlife”, which were developed to be climate-neutral from the very beginning.

• The wearer must be easily recognizable in daylight, by vehicle headlights in the dark or when viewed by other technical equipment.

• The performance requirements of this standard concern material colours, the minimum surface area on the materials, retroreflection, and the placement of strips on the high-visibility clothing.

We welcome the new standard!

Since November 1, 2020, this standard has replaced EN 1150 and EN 13356. The standard specifies the requirements for equipment with increased visibility in the form of garments or products that are capable of visually signaling the presence of the wearer.

The increased visibility equipment is designed to make the wearer more visible in medium risk Situations, in all daylight conditions and/or when illuminated by vehicle headlights in the dark.

The European standard for safety helmets (EN 397) provides manufacturers of safety helmets with guidelines to ensure that the helmets provide adequate protection for the wearer. Hello, of course, the Action Line is an exciting innovation for Korntex. The inspiration for this collection came from the idea of making high visibility vests not only safe, but also fun and stylish. Each theme in the collection represents different interests and activities, from sports and cars to space and dinosaurs. This ensures that the collection has something suitable for every child

Alessia: Hello Manfred. As Commercial Director of Korntex, you are significantly involved in the implementation of new product ideas. The Action Line not only raises the bar with its cool designs, but also with innovative details such as the printed, reflective part of the vests. Can you tell us more about it?

Manfred: Hello, absolutely, the Action Line really is a groundbreaking innovation! The areas printed with themed motifs on the high-visibility vests are the result of intensive research and development with our fabric suppliers. These motifs are not only eye-catching during the day. At night, a patented coating ensures that the printed areas are fully reflective. This is indeed a genuine innovation that raises the combination of safety and fashion for children to a new level. And all of it is completely climate-neutral, mind you!

Alessia: Sophia, how do you ensure that the cuts and designs in this collection are specifically tailored to the primary school age group?

Sophia: When designing the Action Line, we focused particularly on cool and child-friendly styles. Each theme has an individual, dynamic design that not only looks stylish and matches the corresponding theme, but also the individual identity and areas of interest of the children. We would like to see children proud to wear their Korntex high-visibility vests, whether on the way to school or in their free time. The cool designs are meant to boost self-confidence and make wearing them fun.

Today, two key figures at Korntex, who always strive to combine creativity, functionality and application opportunities, talk about one of the highlights of Korntex Kidswear for the coming season: the Funtastic Wildlife collection!

This is a series of high visibility vests for children that not only offers safety but also a lot of fun. Alessia Dipalma, responsible for the creation of this catalog, asks Dr. Alexander Jurack, Managing Director of Korntex, and Padiana Schnelzer, Head of Internal Sales, about the creation and unique eatures of this collection and potential applications.

Alessia Dipalma: Alexander, can you tell us more about the Funtastic Wildlife collection? What inspired you to come up with this innovative idea?

Alexander: The idea for this collection came about when I noticed that kindergarten groups are often organized in different animal motifs. At the time, I was part of the lion group myself and thought, why not integrate this variety into high-visibility vests for children? The Funtastic Wildlife collection currently consists of around ten different animal motifs on the front of each vest.

Alessia: That sounds fascinating! Paddy, as Head of Internal Sales, how is this diversity used in practice?

Paddy: These 100% climate-neutral high-visibility vests consist of fluorescent and reflective parts. The reflective part is represented by the footprints of the depicted animal, which is not only safety-conscious but also provides an interesting learning effect for the children. Not only can educational institutions print their names and contact details on the free belly area of the animals, but local companies can also use these vests as promotional gifts as part of a kindergarten or first grade sponsorship.

Alessia: Interesting! Can you tell us more about the wearing options for the Funtastic Wildlife collection?

Paddy: Of course! The vests come in two sizes and have a Velcro fastener on the side and shoulder, which makes it easy for the little ones to put them on and take them off. The cute animal motifs and reflective paws, footprints and hooves not only give the product a more vibrant look, but also make it more appealing to young explorers and as a mother I know how important that is.

Alessia: Alexander, are there any other applications or special features that should be emphasized?

Alexander: Absolutely! The variety of animal motifs also makes it possible to distinguish between different groups of children, whether in the kindergarten itself or on excursions. Teachers can thus determine the presence of the children more quickly by simply counting the different animals. With the Funtastic Wildlife collection, we not only want to ensure children's safety, but also stimulate their imagination and offer a playful learning effect. It's anexciting combination of functionality and creativity that helps prevent accidents on the road, reflecting our mission at Korntex.
