Cool Technology, Even Cooler Results You exercise, you eat right but some stubborn fat bulges are immune to diet and exercise. You don’t feel as confident in your own skin as you should or could. CoolSculpting is a revolutionary non-surgical contouring treatment that freezes stubborn fat, which then is naturally eliminated from your body. No needles, no special diets, no supplements, no surgery. And most importantly, no downtime. It’s safe, FDA-cleared, effective, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
An Uplift, not a Facelift! Ultherapy is a new type of non-surgical, non-invasive procedure that uses ultrasound and the body’s own natural healing process to lift, tone, and tighten loose skin on the brow, neck, and under the chin. The only FDA-approved procedure to lift skin on these hardto-treat areas, Ultherapy uses the safe, time-tested energy of ultrasound to stimulate the deep structural support layers of the skin—including those typically addressed in a surgical facelift—without disturbing the surface of the skin.

Editor’s Letter Time to have some fun When I moved to Arizona 10 years ago, Scottsdale was the city that made the first impression on me. Scottsdale is where I had my first meal in Arizona, shopped for my first hot-weather wardrobe, played my first round of golf, went for my first run, and then suffer my first near heat stroke after that first run. ART ATTACK: Editor in Chief More than a decade Michael Gossie was transformed into after I made Arizona a “living sculpture” by artist Deborah Paswaters at Calvin Charles Gallery. my home, Scottsdale The event was part of Scottsdale continues to be the Fashion Week’s Wearable ArtWalk. go-to hot spot in the Valley. It offers some of Arizona’s best dining, nightlife, shopping and style. Scottsdale’s reputation as the entertainment epicenter of Arizona is one of the reasons friends from New York always insist of going out in Scottsdale when they come to visit. For all those reasons, the editorial team at Scottsdale Living decided it was time to do this Best of Scottsdale issue so readers could tell us and we could tell readers about some of Scottsdale’s most sizzling hot spots. You can read about my must-visit Scottsdale hot spots — think guts, butts and mutts — on Page 54. We had lots of fun putting together the first Best of Scottsdale issue. I’m sure most of you will agree with some of the picks inside this issue and disagree with others. That’s why I want to hear from you. Do you have a store, restaurant, golf course or bar that you think should be considered for the next installment of the Best of Scottsdale? E-mail me at michael.gossie@azbigmedia.com and tell me your picks and maybe you’ll see it featured in the next Best of Scottsdale issue. For now, enjoy this delicious slice of Scottsdale.
