GOOD SAMARITAN HOME Good Samaritan Home is a Pro-Active, Participating & People Centered Charity Organization to House, nurturing & caring for underprivileged & orphaned children. 0730 It was founded in January 1999 by Albert Ong and YM Ong, a former pastor and his wife. Good Samaritan Home cared for children who came 0900 from families where parents have abandoned them, or where a parent is unable to cope with divorce, or where the child has lost one or both 1000 parents. 1230 It is now a home to 28 children, whose age range from 5 to 18 years old. 1400 1630

IDEA OF PROPOSAL
STATION GAMES
DIFFERENT COUNTRIES
PASSPORT (PRETEND)
The game that we proposed is a station game whereby each stations represents one country. The aim of the game is to foster cultural awareness in the children.
Each stations is to propose a game or an activity which is sufficiently significant to represent a country. Children will get to experience different culture of diverse communities.
To further enhance the experience, a small physical booklet imitating a real-life passport is used to collect sticker after playing game at each stations.
IDEA OF PROPOSAL
SHIRT The shirts are designed and to be worn during the activity day by all committees. At the end of the day, shirts will be given out to all children as a souvenirs. Shirt sizes of all children will be updated by the person-in-charge.

BADGE A variety of badges are designed with different motivational quotes. They are to be given out to children as a souvenir as well.

KOREA Ddakji is a traditional South Korean game played using folded paper tiles.
ACTIVITY PROPOSAL Make their own ddakji and battle against their friend. Winner can collect ddakji from the loser. The one who collects the most ddakji will be the ultimate winner.

ACTIVITY OUTCOME â—? Learn basic origami techniques â—? Encourages them to work on social skills like sharing, taking turns, and graciously handling winning or losing the game.
CHINA ACTIVITY PROPOSAL Children will learn basic Chinese Language and apply it during the activities session. Children will need to apply the phrases they have learn by having basic conversation with the station master.

CHINA China Mask is called Bian Lian in chinese, is an ancient chinese dramatic art that is part of the more general Sichuan Opera. ACTIVITY PROPOSAL ● Chinese Opera Mask Painting ● Each of them will get a plain white face mask ● Choose a character design and start sketching on the mask ● Provide color/brush and start painting ● Video showing ● Wear the painted mask and perform a short opera show. ACTIVITY PROPOSAL Children are to produce a craft model which intent to hone their fine motor skill by picking and handling by using fragile materials to build up a mock-up model of the Eiffel Tower.

INDONESIA Batik is a technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth, originated from Indonesia. ACTIVITY PROPOSAL Instead of using cloth, use paper with a printed artwork of batik. Then use crayons to trace the artwork followed by watercolor painting. ACTIVITY OUTCOME ● Studying the art of batik, they can gain artistic skills. ● Learn about the culture and history of the Malay Peninsula and the Indonesian archipelago. ● Children learn about the method of wax-resist dyeing through the approach of using crayons and watercolor. MATERIALS ● Coloring template (Prepared by us) ● Crayons ● Watercolor
INDIA Kolam is a form of drawing that is drawn by using rice flour, chalk, chalk powder or rock powder. It is a geometrical line drawing composed of curved loops, drawn around a grid pattern of dots.
ACTIVITY PROPOSAL ● We will do it in a form of a bookmark. First, we prepare a template of grid pattern of dots for them to draw out a pattern according to their creativity. ● Then, we will ask them to stick their artwork on the bookmark template of thicker material with a string attached. ● We will then ask them to decorate the bookmark with different types of beans according to the pattern they drew.
ACTIVITY OUTCOME ● Learn and understand the culture of India through their art and festival traditions. ● Learn to form an appreciation for patterns derived from dots and lines.
