DDP Architects has designed a pair of 56-storey skyscrapers in Singapore that will be built using Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction, making them the tallest prefabricated buildings in the world. Named Avenue South Residence, the new development is in the Downtown City Centre at Silat Avenue near Singapore General Hospital. The development will occupy a large residential site of 245,972 square feet overlooking the core central business district. DESIGN COMPOSITION The pair of high-rise residential tower blocks will be constructed amidst the original backdrop of five four-story heritage buildings created in the Art Deco-style amongst the historical KTM Rail Coordinator area. The Avenue South Residence symbolizes ADDP Architects’ ability to fuse futuristic and ecologicallyconscious modern housing while paying homage to the heritage of Singapore.
