Seeing the natural nature of a leaf and how it flows organically was my first sense of inspiration. I find myself being drawn to contrasting concepts. So to set off the organic nature of leaves I pulled more inspiration from grid patterns and how static, controled, and structured they were. I started finding these photographs of leaves and shrubs against grid patterns and that pushed my concept over the edge. The following images are the direct inspiration behind my pattern concept.
The Hood by air contoured collection was the perfect reference point to see how the countoured lines changed once they hit the body, after seeing them in campains and in various other photos i got the perfect idea of how to mold the grid against my illustration
The Hermes Metamorphisis campaign was one of my biggest inspirations behind the botanical aspect of my print. The emerald greens and organic nature of leaves and shrubs against the harshness of a gridded pattern was the perfect contrast for my pattern
