Words from the project Director perry newton
What a great summer it’s turned out to be. The high temperatures of 34°C upwards were a little late in coming, meaning we’ve avoided the visual heat wave and have enjoyed a superb climate at a steady, hot, but very comfortable 27°C day time average for most of the summer. There’s been a wonderful light breeze around and an evening temperature, that lures you in to enjoying lots of outside dining and socialising.
If any of you were here during the Santa Maria festa, you will agree with me that the firework displays this year were nothing short of “awe inspiring”. I have never seen such a dazzling display in my life, it was staggering! It is also quite mandatory viewing, as in reality, there is no way you can watch TV or go to bed in Malta at this time, as the whole place is alive and booming. It’s easier just to stay up and join in the fun! All quiet now till New Year!
New Business Sales have been steady this year with finance clearance being the major thorn in our side and the biggest single hindrance to reaching our targets or sell out times. With the introduction of a Scandinavian and German sales team this year, we anticipate great things for the future.
www.azure.com.mt
Whilst still in its infancy, this team has produced quite remarkable results in a short space of time. With a team of sales and marketing people, there’s a lot of growth planned. Thankfully, I managed to attract Anders Simonsson to head up this vital part of our business. Anders recently sold his recruitment business, covering Sweden, Norway, Finland and Germany. We are very lucky to have him along with his many years of experience, as he joins us as our Business Manager for Northern Europe. Our plans are that Anders will eventually take over the whole of the Non-UK market for Azure. If what he has achieved so far is anything to go by, we will be seeing lots of guests on promotional visits from these countries very soon.
5 Resales We are also planning to open our resales programme for you in 2015. I haven’t set a specific month yet. I have a priority list, which includes a limited number of owners who, for health or hardship reasons, need special help. I will focus part of the efforts initially to assist them and will add to this list, similar cases as the resales programme gains momentum. There are considerations in respect to resales, which we all need to understand:
the aim to offer members the convenience of paying their Annual Membership Renewal Fees online by this years billing. This comes in the form of a (CRM) Customer Relationship Management system, that we are currently building for everyone’s benefit.
battered on occasion by the deluge of information, has managed to make some great strides with the help of our members. If you haven’t met Ernest yet then I am sure you will before the year is out, so go and see him. “It takes teamwork to make the dream work” as they say.
I am positive the year will continue well with regards to sales and as our plans come into fruition we will enter 2012 in a very healthy and robust state. I think quite a few owners have met Ernest Barry the new Chief Operating Officer
Work has started on the changing rooms and should be ready soon; we have also restructured the ventilation throughout the indoor pool area, which shall solve lots of problems. Then we can look at updating the gym too. There are
of the neighbouring countries that we were due to pass through, but is hopefully set to resume for 2012. I have to say Kevin and I are more than a little disappointed. A lot of time and preparation is required for this type of undertaking but I suppose it’s just one of those things, at least it gives us a little more training time now and maybe we can even get Kevin to stop smoking! Anne re-visited us in September this year, shooting some exciting footage to promote the island whilst wandering around the resort and pool
Firstly the development will not have “Sold Out” by 2015. I believe that this shows great confidence from the company, as it’s no mean feat to sell, developer and resale units alongside each other all at the same time! What I am preparing for is to make sure we have expectations price-wise and time-wise when we start. I want to make as sure as I can that if you have a week for sale then it gets the best possible attention. I realise that intially there will be quite a few people wanting to sell units for one reason or another when we first open. I don’t want to put a pressure on the sale by indicating how long it will take to sell. We have literally thousands of guests taking up the promotional invites each year, all wanting to view the membership and experience the resort. The internet is awash with great press and forums highlighting the resort and does a sterling job of building even more value into what you are listing for sale, and as always, we are working on tweaking every aspect of the resort experience in order to further raise your profile as a member and that of your ownership, in order to make it as attractive to potential owners and current owners alike. We are revamping the websites for the whole company, which will include an online booking and reservations engine, a rental portal where you can list weeks and also pick up extra weeks for yourself, friends and family. We are also working on a payment portal, with
Perry newton with anne davies - british television presenter of the resort. Ernest has been holding a weekly drinks evening in the members lounge to collect comments and build relations with owners. He has received a lot from it and although a bit bruised and
other improvements in the pipeline, but I better leave that for the guys to tell you about or I will be accused of hogging the newsletter!
British televison Celebrity This summer, we were lucky enough to welcome the friendly face of British Television – Anne Davies – to the resort, along with her film crew. You will remember her from GMTV and the Travel Channel, and most currently as the face of BBC East Midlands Today. Annie interviewed myself, along with Sales Manager Kevin Camilleri, earlier this year regarding our second charity motorcycle rally, with Stephane Peterhansel’s – Paris Dakar event Heroes Legend.

The race was scheduled for October but unfortunately has been cancelled recently due to the unrest in some
areas, speaking to Club members and those on promotional visits, receiving their feedback. I myself managed to secure a whole seven seconds with Anne, giving a quick brief to anyone visiting us on a promotional visit, and that they might expect when they get here. It’s an exciting thing to happen, and we are privileged to get this type of exposure. It will be great PR for the resort in general. We have an incredible product in an incredible location with incredible people. As always I continue to share my vision clearly, simply and consistently. I am open for contact with regards an issue you may want to discuss, so feel free anytime. I will continue to help our team feel enthusiastic and special about what they do, which is to strive to be better in every way and give the members an enjoyable and memorable experience year after year. www.azure.com.mt

Mr. Ernest Barry, Chief Operating Officer of the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands, speaks personally about what’s been happening at the resort, since his introduction in our last newsletter.
Ernest Berry was goalkeeper for the Malta National Football Team from 1996 – 2001 making 22 appearances
Well, we are three quarters of the way through the year, a year that has certainly had its fair share of challenges. With ongoing global economic issues and various areas of uprising and unrest throughout the world, it is fair to say that these areas of concern have had some form of impact on business. But with the volcanic ash cloud crisis already under our belt from last year, we have grown familiar to adapting appropriately under these conditions. And by continuing to do this effectively and consistently, we can look forward to a strong position in which to finish the year.
What’s new at the Resort? During the past few months we have inaugurated a new Member’s Lounge, which is situated on the second floor just behind the Vacation
Club’s reception desk. The sweeping views of Golden Bay and beyond make this new lounge an excellent setting for our members to wind down and relax, in great comfort. The previous member’s lounge has been transformed into a much-needed games room, which was an instant hit with teenagers during this summer. During 2011 all apartments situated in Sunset tower had new carpets laid and the response from members regarding the chosen style and design has so far been very positive. The plan for winter 2012 is to replace all apartment carpets within the Twilight tower and place decking on the terraces of the Heavenly Collection suites. We will also continue the annual planned room maintenance, which in reality is an ongoing process, as well as the soft refurbishment of Flavours restaurant. We have also updated and changed
sofa beds in all apartments. The changing rooms and steam room are being modernised and should be re-opened in October. Our latest outlet Bluberry Bar was introduced to our food and beverage portfolio in July and has proved to be a popular outlet serving tasty waffles, pancakes, ice creams, smoothies and more. The welcome drinks party exclusively for resident members is being held in the new members lounge on most Wednesday evenings. During this event, you will also have the opportunity to meet other members of the resort management as well as our top chefs. Throughout the past six months, I have had the pleasure of meeting many members and I look forward to welcoming you to our resort within the near future.
football career Football has been a passion of mine, for as long as I can remember. Throughout my career, as goalkeeper for Malta, I played against some of the top European sides such as Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Juventus, Partisan Belgrade and FC Zurich. I retired from the National team in 2001 after losing 2-1 against Peter Schmeichel’s Denmark, in Copenhagen. I have many wonderful memories playing against Croatia, Republic of Ireland amongst others, but the most treasured has to be having had the opportunity to play against Beckham’s England in 2000. That same year I also kept goal for Millwall Fc, in three friendly games, whilst on trial in London. www.azure.com.mt

all about the food & beverage jesmond vella
With eight bars and restaurants on site at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands, you can be guaranteed a wide range of dining options in modern ambient surroundings, to enjoy throughout your stay.
www.azure.com.mt
Meet Jesmond Vella, Food and Beverage Manager. With over 22 years experience within the hospitality industry including experience at a number of large hotel chains throughout the U.S, U.K and Malta, Jesmond has risen from Bistro Manager to Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Radisson Blu Resort, Malta, St Julian’s. In May 2011, he took up the challenging promotion to Food and Beverage Manager, here at Radisson Blu Resort & spa at Golden Sands. Overseeing 70 staff and with responsibilities that include planning menus and wine lists, creating the guests and customers ideal event, Jesmond’s days are not only very full but also extremely varied. Whether it’s a lavish wedding, Gala dinner or specialty
menu, a lot of research is required and something that he relishes. “The most exciting part of my job is, beacuse of the amount of people I meet and varied requests I have, no two days are ever the same.” Fluent in Maltese, English and Italian, you might wonder where this football loving member of staff finds the time to support his beloved Liverpool FC? But he does, and also manages to relax through his other two passions of cooking and studying wines.
Famous footballers Throughout the years, Jesmond has had the fortune of meeting various celebrities who have stayed at the Radisson. When asked whom he has met, the first
to come to mind are all football players, obviously being a big fan, he remembers Zinedine Zidane, the now retired french footballer who captained France to the 2006 World Cup Final, where he won the Golden Ball as the tournament’s most outstanding player. Gian Luigi Buffon – Juventus and Italy’s premier goalkeeper and Michel Platini – a former French football player, manager and current president of UEFA. Now summer is drawing to a close, although with the sun still shining it is hard to tell! Jesmond and his team are looking forward to the coming months, especially to Christmas and all the exciting events that he will assist in planning and organising for the hotel guests, lucky enough to visit us during this period.

Did You Know? Malta entered the Guinness Book of Records in June of this year Record Breakers Anyone who visits Malta in the summertime will know that fireworks are a huge passion and something that creates much friendly rivalry in all localities. Well this year, the small village of Mqabba entered the Guinness book of records for successfully constructing and lighting a 32metre (105 feet) Catherine Wheel. No mean feat! After strong winds destroyed last years attempt at this record, the villagers and local Lily fireworks factory were determined that this years attempt was not going to be in vain and brought in qualified engineers, building a strengthened structure. The community spirit prevailed as locals contributed to the costs involved, with the Dingli family at the heart of the majority of efforts, with their family run lily fireworks factory. 60,000 people crammed together in anticipation on a Saturday night the 18th June 2011. Two spectacular firework displays lit the evening sky leading up to the anticipated event. The huge Catherine wheel was then lit and the crowd cheered and applauded as the fiery wheel started turning, smashing the previous record held of 85 feet in diameter. Celebrations carried on late in to the night, jubilation at a new world record for this proud ancient village on an island renowned for its love of fireworks and summer celebrations.
New Housekeeper appointment Another member of staff to join the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands this year is Nathalie Micallef. Nathalie joined the hotel industry over 20 years ago and started out as a room attendant. Her first post was at the three star Bugibba Holiday Complex, in 1991, owned by Island Hotels Group. Quickly noticed by management for her dedication and hard work, an enthusiastic Nathalie,
was promoted to housekeeping supervisor, moving to the four star Coastline hotel.
responsibilities and areas that required her full attention.
Moving on up
“Nothing beats the smile of a happy guest and a happy team member”.
A constant source of drive and determination saw that Nathalie was again promoted in 1997 to the role of assistant housekeeper and again soon after to Executive Housekeeper, adding further
With a very ‘hands on’ approach to her work, you will see Nathalie around the hotel during the day, keeping a close eye on the bedrooms and public areas of the resort, this way she can personally
see that all the areas within the hotel are being maintained to the high standard expected. With administration duties also requiring her attention, Nathalie finds her role as an Executive Housekeeper to be a demanding yet very satisfying one and with a new hotel, guests and a new team of staff, at Golden Sands, is very much looking forward to the year ahead. www.azure.com.mt

TATOC ACCREDITATION
The Association for Timeshare Owners Committees (TATOC) has announced that the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands has achieved its prestigious accreditation award.
The Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands is one of Malta’s quintessential five star hotels combining the perfect blend of a relaxing rural location, along with close proximity and easy transport links to the rest of the island The hotel features a 90-metre outdoor lagoon pool, children’s pool and indoor heated swimming pool, along with direct access to the private fully serviced sandy beach. Guests can enjoy the state of the art leisure & spa facilities, exhilarating water sport activities including an on-site dive centre as well as a historically rich local area and award winning dining. Located within the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa is the Island Residence Club. Members of this vacation club enjoy elegantly designed and spacious residential suites with home www.azure.com.mt
from home comforts and a touch of Mediterranean sophistication. The club is affiliated to Interval International. In addition to this is the Heavenly Collection, which comprises nine unique and lavishly furnished penthouses. Affiliated with RCI’s Registry Collection these sumptuous penthouse suites offer first class comfort & space where exquisite design and state of the art technology merge seamlessly into liveable luxury. Perry Newton, project director for Azure the resort’s marketing wing, explained why they applied for TATOC accreditation: “Our main focus has always been operating in an ethically compliant way to our members. This has always been at the forefront of our business mind-set.”
“Having endorsement already from RDO, we feel that TATOC membership is a valuable addition and will further enhance our full commitment to our current members as well as to potential new ones. Resort accreditation from a professional consumer body such as TATOC strengthens our position within the vacation ownership business.”
As TATOC is the only elected Consumer Association for timeshare owners in Europe, the accreditation should be viewed as wholly independent of commercial influence, not shrouded in politics or bureaucracy of any nature and something that is being conducted with the ultimate best interests of the consumer in mind.
The TATOC resort accreditation programme was launched in 2008 as an independent award for resorts that meet the gold standard of holiday experience for guests and owners alike. The aim of the programme is to give full recognition to resorts that are truly customer-driven in their approach to timeshare ownership and are willing to commit to all requirements of the association’s code of conduct. Resorts who apply for accreditation undergo an inclusive on-site inspection and audit. The process is rigorous, robust and comprehensive. The association believes it is essential that the award is seen as hard-earned and meaningful.
Mr. Harry Taylor, TATOC executive chairman and part of the accreditation team explained “Once accreditation is achieved, the resort will be continually monitored to ensure that it continues with the high standards expected. In this way, guests and owners can be reassured that accredited resorts have not only met the criteria during the accreditation process but keep doing so – it is not a one-off. We are delighted that Radisson Blu Resort & Spa have not only joined TATOC but have committed to accreditation”.
Any resort applying for and passing the accreditation process will be declaring themselves to be open and honest operators - resorts that have nothing to hide and everything of which to be proud. In this way, the industry’s tarnished reputation can be repaired and improved.

Concierge for the ‘Heavenly’ members henri diacono
Everyone’s time bank is the same; we all begin each day with the deposited balance of 24 hours. Unfortunately due to today’s fast paced world and increasingly demanding workloads, this balance seems to diminish at an alarming rate as the year progresses. This inevitably creates a knock on effect, resulting in less free time to plan and arrange everything as well as we’d like to.
Although on the whole, people will pre-book their holidays as far ahead as time permits, it is still the finer details that can take up a lot of our valuable time. This is where a Personal Concierge can become your new best friend, providing you with invaluable restaurant advice and procuring tickets normally only reserved for waiting lists. Executing the things you wish you had done but just don’t have the time to.
Heavenly Concierge Meet Henri Diacono, Personal Concierge for The Heavenly Collection, the nine elegantly unique penthouse suites at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands. Having worked with the Island Hotels Group for almost six years, Henri is a fountain of knowledge. His tips and suggestions ensure that members will make the
most of their valuable time and thoroughly enjoy their stay. Whether it’s sightseeing away from the madding crowd, rooftop fine dining under the stars or tickets to the Ballet or sporting event of the year, Henri will work his magic to ensure that each and every member’s visit will be a memorable one. Enthusiastically speaking about The Heavenly Collection, Henri feels that the elegant ambience and extra details, like the heated floor as you step out of the bath and the eye catching bedroom skylights, operated by the touch of a button, go hand in hand to create, undoubtedly the best luxury suites in Malta, if not indeed, the Mediterranean. Although blessed with almost 300 days of sunshine a year, the multifaceted island of Malta offers its visitors so much more through
its rich history and diverse culture. Henri proffers to present this to the members via constantly seeking the finest examples of the island’s architecture and fascinating areas of interest, suggesting the most unique locations to visit to experience the real Malta. Introduction to local talent will also be brought to members by way of displays and talks in the members lounge throughout the year, with Henri constantly working with the islands up and coming artists, to make this happen.
Talk to Us Henri’s professional and dedicated attention ensure that you will always have constant communication and importantly for some, a point, or person of reference throughout your visit. Someone you can call upon in an emergency for example, who will offer a solution, immediately.
So all you need to concentrate on is relaxing and enjoying your stay. Contacting every member prior to arrival, Henri emails members and introduces himself, identifying any requests that he may assist with. Having completed a members profile, Henri will be aware of personal interests, be it sports activities or sightseeing and can source tickets for certain locations and events which can normally be difficult to come by such as one of UNESCO’s world heritage sites – The Hypogeum in Tarxien.
good thinking batman! Henri’s warm smile and debonair charm, personify style and grace. Maybe partly due to his family’s French roots, his practical yet passionate dedication to ensure a guest has nothing but a totally satisfactory visit, see’s an unwavering commitment to his guests, where nothing is too small or too impossible. Traits normally reserved for the quintessential butler, it is easy to see why guests have likened Henri’s manner to that of “Alfred”, Batman’s butler – played in the films by the late Michael Gough and along with a hospitably warm island and beautiful resort, keeps visitors returning year after year. www.azure.com.mt

Ingredients 1 litre fresh milk 8 whole eggs 550grms flour 150grms-melted butter 150grms icing sugar (for sprinkle) Preparation method; 1. Sift the flour and sugar into a large mixing bowl with a sieve held high above the bowl so the flour gets an airing. Now make a well in the center of the flour and break the eggs into it. Then begin whisking the eggs - any sort of whisk or even a fork will do - incorporating any bits of flour from around the edge of the bowl as you do so. 2. Next gradually add small quantities of the milk, still whisking (don’t worry about any lumps as they will eventually disappear as you whisk). When all the liquid has been added, use a rubber spatula to scrape any elusive bits of flour from around the edge into the center, then whisk once more until the batter
is smooth, with the consistency of thin cream. Now melt the butter in a pan. Spoon and whisk it in, then pour the rest into a bowl and use it to lubricate the pan, using kitchen paper to smear it round before you make each pancake. 3. Now get the pan really hot, then turn the heat down to medium and, to start with, do a test pancake to see if you’re using the correct amount of batter. I find 2 tbsp. is about right for an 18cm/7in pan. It’s also helpful if you spoon the batter into a ladle so it can be poured into the hot pan in one go. As soon as the batter hits the hot pan, tip it around from side to side to get the base evenly coated with batter. It should take only half a minute or so to cook; you can lift the edge with a palette knife to see if it’s tinged gold as it should be. Flip the pancake over with a pan slice or palette knife - the other side will need a few seconds only - then simply slide it out of the pan onto a plate. 4. To serve- you can add some fresh berries or strawberries and vanilla ice cream. 5. Enjoy!

Responsible Business at Island Hotels Group
September is the 8th Annual Responsible Business Action Month at Radisson Blu Hotels and Resorts around the world. Throughout September we work towards creating awareness around health and safety, social and ethical values as well as environmental issues, which encourage Responsible Business. During Responsible Business Action Month, all hotels within Island Hotels Group Holdings Plc. (IHGH) make an extra effort to organise social and environmental activities engaging with employees, guests and the local community - raising awareness for Responsible Business and raising funds to support The World Childhood Foundation as well as Fondazzioni Wirt Artna.
The World Childhood Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to serving the most vulnerable children in the world: street children, sexually abused and exploited children, children trafficked for sexual purposes and institutionalised children, with a particular focus on girls and young mothers. Island Hotels Group Holdings Plc. is proud to have Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna (FWA) the Malta Heritage Trust as a beneficiary of our CSR initiatives. This non-governmental, www.azure.com.mt
non-profit organisation is active in the fields of heritage preservation and management and currently cares for over 30 sites of cultural significance, which cover 7000 years of history dating back to the Neolithic era. During Responsible Business Action Month IHGH will give this organisation a little extra support to help further the restoration and maintenance of historic sites and artifacts Throughout September the hotels within IHGH planned a month of events and fundraising
activities. These activities vary from maintenance work at various homes and a public park in St Paul’s Bay to blood donations and a carwash. Local celebrities also generously dedicated their time to the worthwhile causes, rolling up their sleeves and help with maintenance works, the carwash or even grilling sausages for some junior guests! (A BBQ, Fun walk and blood donation are all taking part of the end of the month.) Other fundraising events throughout the month include, a BBQ, fun walk
and dress down day at Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s, staff canteen donations also at Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s, a smokeless week at Radisson Blu Resort and Spa, Malta Golden Sands and a grand raffle, to which many local suppliers contributed. Island Hotels Group Chief Executive Officer Winston J. Zahra explained that “Responsible business is an initiative the Group commits to wholeheartedly and Responsible Business Action month is just a small part of the Group’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility programme.” Mr. Zahra went on to explain “the properties within the portfolio of Island Hotels Group Holdings Plc have been developed with pioneering technology aimed at reducing the hotels’ environmental impact. We believe in taking responsibility for the environment, our employees and the community and are proud to own and manage Hotels with a long term vision and a daily programme that ensures this objective is met”

summer reviews from trip advisor
Mr & Mrs Vrou, Amsterdam
“Beautiful resort and location.”
“Perfect!!”
“One of best hotels in Malta”
Mr & Mrs Scout, UK
Mr & Mrs Rayleigh, UK
Mr & Mrs Le Bonte, France
My wife and I just spent a week at this resort on an ownership trade through The Registry Collection. Our 4 bedroom, 4 /12 bath penthouse condo was one of the top 3 vacations that we have had. The unit was on the top floor, beautifully decorated and had a outside balcony large enough to accommodate a hundred people with room to spare. The staff, especially our consierge, Henri, did everything they could to make our stay memorable. There are numerous restaurants at the resort or the town of Mellieha, that has several excellent restaurants, is a short shuttle bus ride away. We look forward to going back.
My husband and I went here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We were supposed to go to the Radisson Bay Point initially, however there was a problem with the booking and we were sent over to the Golden Bay Resort where we were met by Ernest Barry who went out of his way to ensure that our stay was perfect and we wanted for nothing. We will definitely be returning here at some time in the future, there is nothing negative to say about this hotel, the service was perfect, the location was perfect and the room was perfect. Swimming in the sea every day and the luxury of the private beach was wonderful. We had no problems getting around the island although we miss the old buses!!! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
If you have children, then they will love it here as there is lots for them to do. It’s a perfect family getaway and looks over one of the best beaches in Malta. Staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient and went that extra mile to make you feel welcome. Pools and terraced area were busy, but not to the point where you were throwing your towels onto sun loungers at 7am in the morning from your balcony. Self catering suites were excellent and very easy to self cater there. If money is no object, then enjoy spending it in the restaurants and pool bars. If you’re going to spoil yourselves on holiday, then this is the place to do it in Malta. Golden Bay is just idyllic. Take one of the speed boats to the Blue Lagoon from Golden Sands Beach and go as a group if you can, as its least expensive and more fun.”
“Best Hotel view in Malta!”
the past. This is the most beautiful view we have had and is like old Malta, as no shops or built up area. Just the hotel, beech, watersports/diving school, Munchies beech bar (not owned by the hotel on the beech), Munchies restaurant at the back of the beach (great tasty food and lovely views of sun-set- recommend you book a table if you want unobstructed views and
Apples bar and restaurant just across the road from the hotel. So compared to other parts of the island this is very quiet and was just what we wanted. Very well suited to couples and families. If you want lots of bars and clubbing this is not the area for you unless you don’t mind paying about 20 euros each way to go into St Julian’s the party area of Malta.
Mr & Mrs Meo, UK Very impressive 5 star hotel in Golden Bay, Malta. We went here on a promotional trip, cheap room and breakfast rate in exchange for going to the Island Residence Club time-share presentation. We love Malta and have been to various parts of the island in
“Golden Sands, being in heaven!!!”
As a frequent visitor of Malta, we decided this year to spend our holiday at the Radisson Blu Golden Sands. We were highly surprised about the relaxed atmosphere and warm ambiance of this hotel. Our rooms were spacious and very tastefully decorated. And ….. quite important; they were very clean every day, really on a 5-star level. The staff was flexible in cleaning our rooms on different times, early in the morning or just the other way around. On each side of the hotel you have spectacular views, really breathtaking…. Both breakfast, lunch and dinner were comprehensive, of a high quality against more than reasonable prices. Having dinner in the evening with the wonderful view is all you can wish. Also the entertainment in the evening is great, it isn’t too loud and increases your holiday feeling. Also our children enjoyed it very much. During the day the people working for the kids club are very enthusiastic, well organised with good entertainment for the children. Next to that, we found it very nice to notice that the staff is really interested in you, that they are taking care for you and that they will do anything to make sure that you have a splendid holiday. So in case of a little problem you can always ask the staff for help, they are really working together with the managers of this hotel, to make sure that the customer will be satisfied at any time. For us there will be certainly a next time in GOLDEN SANDS, our dream hotel!!!
