overview Holiday Cabin: This project was one of my first introductions into Auto CAD it taught me the basic fundamentals of the program e.g. hatching, dimensioning, line types and setting up layers and sheets

Granny flat: I was given the brief to place a self contained extension on top of the existing building, meaning adding a stair case without sacrificing to much space on the ground floor level.

This project taught me basic problem solving skills, further developing more skills using Auto CAD.

Town Houses: The town houses

were the first project were it required me to visit the site of where the townhouses would be built. The purpose of this was to give me an understanding of the land size, surrounding trees and vegetation. This meant that we had to undertake a tree survey of the land to determine what tree would need to be removed. This project also further improved my skills in Auto CAD.

Year 12 Industrial Design Project: This project was of my own undertaking as I choose to do my ideal dream home. This involved researching current home and building designs that I

found appealing. I found many components over a range of designs and interpreted them into my own concept. This was my first self taught experience using Revit.

KIAMA HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM PROJECT: This project was the first major introduction to the programme Revit. We were required to visit Kiama High School which has an existing gymnasium. The purpose of the project was to redesign and improve the existing Gym. The changes that I integrated were increasing the size and layout of the amenities, improved ventilation and overall natural light throughout the building. The proposed carpark will create better flow and extra space needed at drop off and pick up times.

BURROO BAY SAILING CLUB: In this project we were give the basic outline eg. floor spaces, floor levels and room configurations. My job was to find environmental and sustanable

materials and use passive design guidelines. I researched suitable materials for the surrounding environment such as fibre cement sheeting with a rendered exterior, Rheinzink roofing has been developed for the use in all climate zones. The basement walls were constructed using Borals mortaless block system helping reduce cost with it’s ease of constuction and giving increased waterproofing properties.
