THE SHELDONIAN THEATRE ABOUT US If you are looking for a fabulous dinner venue to impress then look no further than the Sheldonian Theatre. Described as one of the architectural jewels in Oxford’s crown, the Theatre is the University of Oxford’s ceremonial hall and provides a spectacular setting for an unforgettable dining experience... We offer three fabulous dining offers suitable for 30-100 guests - a standing or seated buffet, three course fine dining or a sophisticated street food concept. Guests who choose the second option can opt for a ‘Live Theatre’ experience with an open kitchen amid the dining tables. They can watch chefs craft their dish just metres away before devouring it, and asking them about its inspiration and origins. The Theatre also provides a stunning venue for drinks receptions of up to 250 guests, award ceremonies, talks, lectures and day meetings. Its close proximity to its sister venue, the Examination Schools, means these two buildings can be used in conjunction with each other for large scale corporate and academic conferences.
