Concept/Proposition Many products come across extremely dull and boring. If there’s a unique, funny and interesting advertisement for such a product, perhaps sales will increase?

Concept/Proposition We start learning at an early age, so it’s important to continue the development of effective ways for children to learn.

Concept/Proposition Christmas is one of the most exciting times of the year for most people. Calendars are used at all ages. They’re there for people to keep track on the final month before the one big day.

The Brief Design and create a set or series of stamps for a chosen topic.

Considerations Consider how broad your topic is; if it’s too big, will you struggle focusing on a particular idea when designing the stamps? What is the history behind your chosen topic? Will you use colour? How will you present the stamps; in a book; framed; single; as a set? How many stamps will you design? Is there anything important every stamp has to show?

Concept/Proposition Stamp collectors are an important source of income for some countries that create limited runs of elaborate stamps designed mainly to be bought by stamp collectors. The stamps produced by these countries may exceed the postal needs of the countries, but may also feature attractive topical designs that many collectors would like to have in their stamp album.
