BABLAKE JUNIOR IN YEAR 3

“SAFETY FIRST”

Welcome Year 3 to the Milton Keynes Safety Centre

We saw how we measured up to new laws We learnt how to stay safe near water

I will put in the box..

I will put in the box..

a turquoise sapphire ocean shimmering like the sky raining with diamonds, woolly clouds as puffy as candyfloss on a fairground day, Coucals swooping down like a paraglider flying in France. I will put in the box, two Italian masks as beautiful as pearls under the ocean, firecrackers are drawing colourful pictures in the moonlight, people are chatting in my brain like ants hurrying for food.

a sparkling swimming pool as clear as the mid morning sky, a full makeover standing out like the one star in the never ending night, the taste of spicy chicken flavour noodles like the great view of the crashing sea. I will put in the box.. a talking robot as vast as a towering volcano, the lovely smell of new petrol as strong as fresh vinegar, the sight of the deep, rocky sea off the pier as light as the pale blue gem.

I will put in the box..

I will put in my box..

an alien as green as the purist evergreen leaves, a bed as big as the world and as soft as a feather bed, a raging snowstorm as white as clouds. I will put in the box, the memory of a robot as clever as 1000 computers, a smell so lovely like perfume, the colour of Mars as bright as a blazing fire ball. I will put in the box, a black hole as dark as the midnight sky, all the riches in the world as shiny as a golden sun, a bottomless pit as dark as space with no stars.

a swish of a piece of silky hair as smooth as a Siamese cat, a red ruby rose as red as a bright poppy, a vast carpet of scented bluebells that covers the ground. I will put in my box, a dazzling rainbow as colourful as Joseph’s multi-coloured coat, a pretty pink penguin as pink as a girl’s pink rosy cheeks, the sweet tweet of a cute robin that is so gorgeous.

The dangers of polution were also highlighted

It was the best science day ever. I’ve never had so much fun. The best part was the 3D glasses and checking people’s body temperature. I think that I’ll never have a science lesson as fun as that one ever again! All thanks to Coventry University. Matthew Holmes
