A GLOBAL IMPACT As we approach our second century, we need your help to expand on this success and make a Babson education possible for some of the most driven, high-achieving students from around the world. Currently, only a fraction of support for Global Scholarships is derived from private donations, with the rest of the program’s funds coming directly from Babson’s operating budget. Your partnership will help us ensure that no promising student misses out on a Babson education because of geography or financial status. This unique structure of support for the most promising international students is already having an impact. In addition to the group’s track record of academic success, Global Scholars are leaders on campus, joining clubs and organizations, playing sports, volunteering as mentors and tutors, and participating in student government. The ambitions of our current Global Scholars ensure that their impact will continue to be felt, not only at Babson, but in the companies they start or join after graduation and in the communities they will bring their skills to around the world.

Leaders who have lived and studied in other cultures are better prepared to meet the challenges of an increasingly diverse and interconnected world. Babson is already an intentionally international college—this is one of our greatest strengths, as we prepare entrepreneurial leaders to impact business across a global marketplace. THE GLOBAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM has seen great success in its first four years with 37 STUDENTS from 26 COUNTRIES now attending Babson on full scholarships for four years. We are proud of the initial success of this program, however we cannot stop here. We need help to make this opportunity a reality for some of the most ambitious, high-achieving students from around the world. Not only will these opportunities increase Babson’s global footprint, but in doing so will also create new opportunities to teach and expand upon. Support of this crucial program today will change the life of a bright young person who will leave their mark on the world tomorrow.

Every incoming class is assigned a faculty mentor who utilizes their Babson network to provide resources and support that contributes to the success of each Global Scholar. Learning in a cohort of their peers, Global Scholars benefit from special programming and support, including: » A pre-orientation program » A first-year leadership retreat » Social and cultural events » Mentoring focused on their academic and personal goals » Customized career advising and Babson’s worldwide alumni network

In addition to four-year, full-tuition scholarships, Global Scholars receive need-based financial support to cover room and board, books and supplies, health insurance, and travel expenses.
