elcome to our most wonderful issue of the year! We’ve really enjoyed putting together this special holiday edition, and hope you have just as much fun flipping through it and putting these recipes to work. At this time of year, when the nights get longer and the snow 3 begins to pile up, I’m drawn to the kitchen. It keeps me warm, and it lets me show off my skills—many of them much improved thanks to tips from readers like you. And while I’d love to concoct a seven-course masterpiece every time I’m there, those two boys you see pictured below dictate that I take another route. That’s why I adore this issue of Simple & Delicious. We realize that a lifetime of memories are made in the kitchen this time of year, so we’ve packed our magazine with recipes and tips for the whole season. 4 Like you, I’m always on the hunt for a recipe that will wow friends and family at yuletide gatherings. And thanks to you, we’re sharing a dozen of the tastiest starters that have ever crossed my lips in this month’s contest, Perfect Party Appetizers (p. 35). As for that droolworthy cover, your sweet tooth might already be begging you to turn the page to find those fudge recipes. But I won’t be mad if you skip ahead to our Have a Hassle-Free Holiday feature (p. 70) to discover just how easily you can pull off those desserts. After the holidays die down, we’ve got you covered, too. Back by popular demand, our 30 Meals in 30 Minutes (or Less) (p. 43) HAPPY FIVE SIMPLE THINGS THAT MAKE ME will ensure a new year that gets off to a quick child the and delicious start. And there’s so much more that it has nd Pickle Ornament Lege the tree in ing hang le pick h 3-inc the s spot packed inside! As always, we’d love to hear who first rporating more gets an extra gift.
