We put in hours of research, endless workdays that pour into our personal lives, and even sacrifice our well-being simply to chase something bigger than ourselves. The reason behind everything is well worth it, but I learned firsthand how many of us go about building our businesses unhealthily. When I had my first five-figure month, I realized I didn’t want to continue working the way I was.
The business was great, but I didn’t have time for my personal life the way I wanted. One of the main reasons I started my business was to spend more time with my family, but here I could not spend as much quality time as I wanted.
We would go on vacation, and I would take my laptop and even sometimes conduct client calls. The girls would want to watch a movie, and we would watch the movie, but I was also multitasking, working on client work.
