Does a customer have to dial any codes to use Farmside Landline? No, once they have transferred to Farmside Landline they simply pick up the phone and dial the numbers they wish to call. This and every call will be made using Farmside and will be rated per the Farmside Simple Tolls rate plan.

Is Farmside Landline offered in conjunction with Telecom? No, Farmside Landline is independent of any relationship the customer has with Telecom and often will be replacing a Telecom service. A customer’s contract is with Farmside and no one else.

Will a customer’s phone number switch? Absolutely not. A customer’s existing phone number will be transferred from a customer’s existing provider to Farmside via a porting process.

How much will a combined phone/fax line cost? All phone lines are capable of receiving phone and fax calls. The Call Fax option enables a fax to have a different ringtone and costs $3.50 + GST per month.

Will changing to Farmside Landline improve my phone line quality? No, unfortunately the majority of infrastructure in New Zealand is maintained by Telecom Wholesale and we are dependent on this infrastructure to deliver the Farmside Landline service.

Will there be a fee to transfer over to Farmside Landline?

Can a customer view their bill online? Yes, full billing information will be provided at www.myfarmside.co.nz

Can a customer pay online? Yes, Farmside accept payments made online via a customers bank. We do not have the provision to pay directly via www.myfarmside. co.nz or online via credit card.

What if a customer has a question or concern about their account? Call us on 0800 Farmside (32 76 74).

Will Farmside have paper statements? Yes, Farmside will send a summary bill (up to 3 pages) for $5 + GST per month only if requested.

How long does a customer need to stay with Farmside Landline?

Local calls are free but dialling an area code in front of what should be a local call makes it a national call - and we have to charge for those!

There is a 12 month minimum service term with Landline.

How can I get connected with Farmside’s Landline?

Does Farmside offer capped calling?

Call us on 0800 Farmside (32 76 74) and you can sign up over the phone.

No, Farmside has chosen not to offer capped calling as we prefer to deliver a standard low rate regardless of how long a customer talks for. Often a customer makes a higher number of short calls, therefore our lower calling rates will help people save money with this usage pattern.

How long will it take to transfer?

Is there peak and off peak calling rates?

Typically this takes up to six hours.

No, Farmside toll rates are applicable at all times of the day and week.

Will I be offline at any stage of the number porting process? No.

Can a customer receive their bill by email? Definitely! Email billing is Farmside’s preferred option. 2

Can I buy multiple Talk Packs? A customer can purchase multiple talk packs but only one of each call grouping. (ie one national, one mobile and one international).

Will Farmside to Farmside customers within NZ be free calls like the Webline service? No, Farmside may introduce this option into the future but it is not currently planned. 3
