Other transfer options Private luxury vehicle transfers from Ayers Rock Airport can be arranged in advance. Self-driving to Uluru is another popular option. Private vehicle access is not available at the property but parking is available offsite and complimentary transfers to and from the lodge can be arranged in advance.
Luxury transfers from Cairns Airport are available to book in advance. Scenic helicopter flights from Cairns Airport to Port Douglas offer an aerial perspective of the region and are a spectacular start or end to a stay in the Daintree.
From/to Kangaroo Island Airport
For self-drive island excursions, a 45-minute ferry service runs between Cape Jervis on the mainland and Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island, which is 90 minutes drive from the lodge. Cape Jervis is a picturesque twohour drive from Adelaide.
A private car service can be arranged to meet guests at the airport, train station or any Adelaide city hotels. For a spectacular aerial arrival, it’s hard to beat a helicopter transfer and The Louise has a daylight helipad onsite perfect for the purpose.
From/to Taupō Airport
Guests on self-drive journeys can expect a three and a half hour road trip from Auckland, a five-hour drive from Wellington or a one-hour drive from Rotorua. For the ultimate arrival experience, arrange a helicopter transfer from Auckland Airport and touch down directly at the lodge.
Guests can choose to arrive via sea on one of the lodges various boats, taking 45 minutes to complete the passage from Tofino to the lodge’s dock. Or for the ultimate view of Clayoquot Sound on arrival, arrange a helicopter transfer from Vancouver Airport, landing on the onsite lodge helipad.
