Sitting remotely are two multi-bedroom owners’ residences, the Alan Pye and Alex van Heeren Cottages. The wine cellar is cool and cavernous, lined with some of the world’s most revered vintages. An intimate venue for special occasions, the cellar hosts up to 10 guests for private candlelit dining.
Located upstairs in the main lodge, The Loft is a flexible space ideal for a formal meeting, think tank session, cocktail party or private dinner. Dining is accommodated on 2 tables of 10.
Dedicated to Don Ryder, resident bagpiper from 1993 – 2018, The Piper Room is a cosy space with a private lounge area and adjoining balcony overlooking the Waikato River.
Featuring floor-toceiling bookshelves, The Library is a cosy space with an intimate, quiet atmosphere ideal as a breakout room or private meeting or dining space for up to 10 guests.
A versatile space, The Orchard is set amongst a small orchard of heirloom fruit trees and warmed by an outdoor fireplace. Intimate sit-down dining is accommodated on 2 tables of 6.

Group policy

Getting there
Huka Lodge is located in Taupō, in the central North Island of New Zealand. Taupō is a 3.5-hour scenic drive from Auckland. The nearest airport for domestic and international air transfers is Auckland Airport, with daily connecting flights to Taupō Airport.
A variety of transfers are available for guests arriving at Huka Lodge, from helicopters to limousines and from a range of departure ports. For a spectacular aerial arrival, it’s hard to beat a helicopter transfer. Huka Lodge has a daylight helipad onsite perfect for the purpose.
