Set amongst the undulating vineyards of the Barossa Valley, The Louise offers a luxury retreat complete with private villa-style suites, world-class dining at Appellation and access to a backstage pass to the best of the Barossa.

The team at The Louise specialises in creating bespoke itineraries for business events, incentive and leisure groups, and milestone celebrations.

The Barossa Valley is recognised around the world as one of Australia’s premier wine regions, made famous by its old-vine shiraz vintages. Today, the Barossa is a culinary destination, with The Louise as a stylish base from which to explore the region’s wineries and cellar doors, restaurants and producers, art galleries and nature walks.

The Louise is honoured as a member of Luxury Lodges of Australia, a collection of 19 independent luxury lodges and camps offering unforgettable experiences in some of Australia’s most inspiring and extraordinary locations.

Continental luxury

A stay at The Louise evokes the generously spacious, relaxed luxury of Southern Europe, where villa-style suites open on to sun-dappled private courtyards and look out to vineyards crisscrossing the country landscape.

Leading from a central walkway lined with the region’s signature grapevines, 15 private suites open onto picturesque courtyards and provide luxury accommodation for up to 32 guests. Inside, guests make themselves at home in generous, high-ceilinged lounging spaces, luxuriously appointed king beds and ensuite bathrooms. An intimate workspace and in-suite bar lead to French doors which open to the Barossa’s gently rolling fields and vineyards.

Centre stage

The Louise offers customisable spaces for celebratory events and special occasions, or a stimulating environment for business meetings and conferences. Dining at The Louise is a local affair, where seasonal, locally grown produce combines on contemporary menus, sitting neatly alongside a carefully considered selection of fine wines from the Barossa and beyond.

The space The generous, light-filled Hermitage Room comfortably accommodates 24 guests seated along its boardroom table or up to 60 for a cocktail event. A lounge offers retreat within meetings, while French doors open to an outdoor courtyard and views of the Barossa.

Leading from the Hermitage Room is the open air courtyard, with a pergola and stone walls providing cool space for enjoying a long lunch or post-meeting drinks. The courtyard looks west to the vineyards, perfect to see the sun set golden after a successful event.

The bar and brasserie-style Contour is a dedicated space for private groups and special get togethers for 15 or more guests. It’s a great spot for an exclusive-use lunch or fun team building dinner. There’s seating for 60 or room for a mood-raising cocktail gathering of 80.

Outdoor lounging and a gather-round firepit set the scene for a relaxed outdoor gathering with premium drinks and canapés flowing easily. Take a moment to drink in the sunset, chat with others and feel the cool of the evening.

With large windows looking over the vineyards, Appellation restaurant offers exclusive use dining for up to 40 guests with a degustation menu tailored to the seasons and fresh local produce, paired with fine wines from the Barossa and beyond.

Appellation's satellite Private Dining Room offers an opportunity for groups to experience a thoughtfully curated menu in a truly intimate setting for up to 12 guests, perfect for small evening celebrations or private executive meetings during the day.
