AGARAM PRE-PETS AND GRAND MANAGEMENT SEMINAR 2013 SECRETARY REPORT
PRELUDE The Pre-PETS Seminar for President's Elect & spouse, Secretary’s Elect & spouse and TRF Chairman’s for the year 2013-2014. These sessions are mandatory as information were provided here to make the main PETS training more effective in addition to training specifically geared to our G28 clubs in Coimbatore. Organized by Rotary Coimbatore Gaalaxy on 16th march 2013 at The Hotel ARCADIA.
OBJECTIVES:
Pre-PETS is designed to get incoming club leaders prepared for their new leadership roles by introducing them to the resources and tools available to them.
As it is called, is to prepare incoming club leaders and for their upcoming roles through provocative plenary speakers, in-depth breakout sessions, discussions and informal fellowship and networking with other Rotarian. This is a new year in Rotary and many things have changed especially in the areas of club administration, membership and the foundation.

INAUGURATION: The formal inauguration of the Pre-Pets and Grants management SeminarAGARAM 2013 was held at 3.00 p.m. on 16th March, 2013 as per the programme schedule.
Rtn.S.Muthuraman AGARAM Chairman welcomed the gathering .
DGE Rtn. Dr.K.Ajayakumar’s thought provoking inaugural address, on the topic of “OUR TIME IS NOW” he highlighted imperative role being played by our Rotary Leaders.
He highlighted the various traits of an inspirational leader and concluded his lecture with some inspiring short video clippings. District trainer Rtn PDG Baby Joseph delivered a lecture on the topic of “LEARN TO LEAD”.
JCI G.Subramanian delivered a lecture on the topic of “ENGAGE TO CHANGE”.
He threw more light upon the important message of Human relation is a personal quality in a person for a social purpose-better understanding and better relationship for working group.
PROGRAMME SETTING: The registration is started at 2.30 p.m. after the registration personalized Kits and Complements to the ladies are given. The inaugural session, from 3.00 p.m. to 3.50 p.m. . Treasurer Rtn.PL.M.R.Palaniappan organized all the registration activities. Break out session for the SPOUSES conducted from 4.00 p.m to 6.50 p.m. From 4.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m Grants management seminar for presidents, Secretaries & TRF Chairman. This Seminar has taken by Lead Faculty Rtn R.Jayasankar, DRFC Designate. From 5.30 p.m. to 6.05 p.m the seminar for Plenary Session for Presidents, Secretaries and TRF Chairman. In this session there were two seminar has been taken. At first DGE Rtn Dr K.Ajayakumar took the seminar on the topic of “New Year Resolutions”. On the continue of this Rtn Prabhu Kesavan took the seminar on the topic of “You are the Key”
Breakout Session For Presidents Topic-”WELCOME OUR YEAR TOGETHER”.
In the breakout session for president elects, moderator Rtn. S.S.Venkatesan Assistant governor Designate delivered his lecture by giving suitable explanation to the conceptual meaning of good leader. As envisage by our DGE Rtn Dr. Ajay. The presentor Rtn. Chella K. Ragavendran District Director Designate gave the speech in an effective way.
Breakout Session For Secretaries Topic-”WELCOME OUR YEAR TOGETHER”.
In the breakout session for secretary elects, moderator Rtn S.Subramanian Assistant Director Designate delivered his lecture for the secretaries about the importance of administration, communication and the need for developing reasoning ability. The presentor Rtn. Kamal Kankani District Director Designate gave the speech. Breakout Session For TRF Chairman’s Topic”DOING GOOD WITH TRF”. In the breakout session for TRF chairman elects, moderator Rtn R.Jayasankar, DRFC Designate described various inspirational events in the history of Rotary foundation.
He also highlighted the values and ethos promulgated by our Rotary feternity. And the panel members had a discussion with Co-TRF chairman’s Rtn A.V.Pathy-Cbe West,Rtn K.R.MuraliCbe Metropolis and Rtn A.Vetrivel- Cbe Manchester .
Breakout Session For Spouses In the breakout session for spouses had been split up into 5 sessions. The first session starts by 4’o’ clock ant the presentor is Rtn Pamela Suresh and the moderator is Ann Shanthi Rajasekar.They have discussed about the topic “THE WOMEN- THE CATALYST”. After the 10 min session the presentor Mrs. ChitraKrishnaswamy and moderator had a discussion About 40 min based on the topic “HEALTH OUT OF WASTE”. At the end of the session they had a break around 10 min with coffee and tea. The final session was “ZUMBA FOR YOUR FITNESS” it was carried around 75 min. A 75 min fun-filled dance fitness session. Everyone was welcome to come and get their zumba on.
They have danced to great music while they follow zumba instructors to some awesome calorie burning dance moves that may surely made them feel good. The foot loose dance company gave the instructions to them and helped them to have a fit and healthy body in future. This might be a wonderful session for the spouses who came and participate in this seminar.
VALEDICTORY SESSION: At the end of final session on March 16th, the seminar got rounded off with vote of thanks to all the participants. The vote of thanks red by Rtn. Balakrishnan, Secraetary-Agaram. This seminar was well received as witnessed by the high rate of accepted invitations and the exemplary degree of involvement by the participants.
The organizers wish to express their gratitude towards the presidents & spouses, secretary & spouses and TRF chairman’s of rotary club and the participants for its support of this seminar.
