Balfour’s Assisted Living communities respond to the individual needs of adults who may need help with some activities of daily living yet are eager to remain as independent as possible.
We do our best to determine each resident’s level of care both pre-admission and on an ongoing basis. Any proposed adjustments of care levels are discussed thoroughly with the resident and family member(s).

Dementia Day Program
Balfour’s Dementia Day Program offers a welcoming environment to those individuals who benefit from the joys of daily activities. We offer specialized care for those needing cognitive or therapeutic physical activities that stimulate the intellect and engage individuals in successful-orientated interaction.
Dementia Day Program participants and their families can choose how often they would like to attend our program. Hours are flexible, available seven days a week, and include meals and various snacks daily.
Although some may choose to participate in a full day’s program, others may come for shorter periods of time.
Bath or shower service available for additional fee.

Short Term Stay: Respite
Balfour welcomes those looking to have a trial or short term stay to experience all that our community has to offer.
Whether recovering from an illness or surgery, or giving regular caregivers a break, a short-term stay (also referred to as respite care) offers guests any needed care and support. A short-term stay at Balfour is also a wonderful way to experience all amenities and services while receiving personalized care.
Trying the experience of a new home or transitioning after a hospitalization or rehab stay are additional reasons to consider short-term care.

The Riverfront Park Affordable Housing Plan
Balfour at Riverfront Park offers select low and moderate rental independent living apartment homes to eligible residents. As part of the Riverfront Park Affordable Housing Plan, these one-bedroom apartments homes provide housing that is attainable for lower income individuals and couples. These homes are a great opportunity to live downtown for a discounted monthly rent while having access to all of the services and amenities that a Balfour community offers.

All of the specified apartment homes are onebedroom/one-bathroom floor plans with a Monthly Service Fee as follows based on income limits:
• For those earning 50% or less of the Adjusted Median Family Income for one person households ($45,650) the Monthly Service Fee as follows based on 2024 income limits is $2,662.33 (Single Occupancy Only)
• For those earning 100% or less of the adjusted median family income for 1.5 person households ($97,800.00) the Monthly Service Fee as follows based on 2024 income limits is $5,705.00 (Single or Double Occupancy Options)
Residents must complete an Income Verification Form. Additionally, one month’s rent security deposit will be charged upon reserving an apartment home.
