The Truman Show, written by Andrew Niccol, is by far one of the most in-depth movies I have ever watched. The movie revolves around Truman, a man who is oblivious to the fake reality he has been put into. Throughout the movie, he questions himself and everyone around him. He faces self identity problems as well as problems with this “wife, ” who he suspects is part of his fake life. This movie teaches us to never take our lives for granted, and to follow our own paths— not the one set for us by others.
I would really recommend this movie to anyone who gets the feeling of derealization, and people who just need a bit of help figuring out who they are.
