We looove curves - and we love the beautiful colours of Autumn.

No other season offers this fantastic wealth of changing, warm and marvellous natural colours which are so inspiring to our designers. We are very pleased to be able to present our new shapewear series in the magazine.

Makeover By zizzi

new look with zizzi

Swedish Ann Medvik has completed a loving makeover at Zizzi’s. The results were a new hairstyle and 4 gorgeous looks for casual wear, work, and party.

By Lars Nøhr Andresen Ann Medvik has a pretty, feminine look, and she entered Zizzi’s competition for a makeover to try something new.

'I am not a jeans girl, but I would like to try something a little more sensual and cool than what I would choose myself' , says Ann, who is a bank employee.

As it turned out, Ann was surprised to see how well she looked in jeans – and how comfortable they felt.

Before

New hair and make-up Stylist Karoline Saysette says that it was important to do something about Ann’s hair.

'Ann’s hair was a little too long. We chose a haircut for her which frames her face better and makes it look longer' , she says.

First, Ann was given a mineral foundation which is something Karoline recommends to most women.

'Mineral foundations cost a little extra, but they are long-lasting and act as skin care. At the same time they make your skin look great. I give length to Ann’s face by applying sun powder especially on her cheekbones and chin. This way, I enhance the lovely shape of her face' , Karoline says.

Like a film star 'It was really fun and instructive to get a makeover, and I was very happy to do it. Many of my friends have said that my new hairstyle looks great' , Ann says.

'And the photographer made me feel like a film star!' she adds.

What we did The Bordeaux coloured T-shirt fits the bosom nicely, and the gorgeous print is both raw and discreet. Normally, Ann is not into jeans, but this outfit gives her a more cool and sensual look than her usual, feminine style. Both jeans and T-shirt enhance her curves.

Ann’s opinion on the look: 'Surprisingly, the black jeans are probably the nicest pair of trousers I have ever tried on. And they looked really great on me. The T-shirt was loose and comfortable – and it is just lovely.'

What we did With this look we wanted to focus seriously on Ann’s gorgeous legs. Therefore, we dressed her in a pair of classic, exquisite, tight jeans and a short tunic to enhance her legs. The printed tunic is pretty, not raw – therefore, the look is a good combination of Ann’s usual feminine style and cool denim.

Ann’s opinion on the look: 'The printed tunic fits me well and does wonders for a curvaceous figure. I makes me feel confident. Again, I must say that I am surprised how well the jeans fit me.'

What we did We made Ann wear a cool knitwear jumper with short sleeves and a belt making it fit even tighter to her body.

This gives her a stunning figure. The tight leggings enhance her legs and give her a great, cool look. High heels add height.

Ann’s opinion on the look: 'This is my favourite outfit. The jumper feels great to wear. It is gorgeous, and I love the high neck. The jumper suits my body perfectly, and the belt adds the finishing touch.

The black shiny leggings make this a really exciting look.'

What we did Ann is wearing a black ‘Jackie Kennedy’ dress.

The tight-fitting dress enhances her great curves, and the black ribbon all the way down the front of the dress adds a great touch. At the same time it makes Ann look taller.

Ann’s opinion on the look: 'This is an elegant party dress, and I like the shiny ribbon in the front. I would probably never have chosen a dress like this, and it is so exciting to try something completely different.'

The curved shape will make your eyelashes curve while you apply the mascara, and make them stay slightly curved when the colour dries up.

The thicker brushes in the middle leave extra colour to make your lashes look thicker, whereas the shorter brushes catch the smaller lashes. When all lashes are coloured they will appear fuller.

A mascara brush with rubber bristles will give you both length and volume, depending on which type you choose.

Common for all rubber brushes is that they work like a sort of comb which will keep the lashes separated.

The long, straight brush will make your lashes longer by applying the same amount of colour all over and by ‘pulling’ your lashes.

Wiggle the brush from side to side when applying the mascara. Apply several times to get a thicker look, but try to finish before your lashes get dry – to keep the mascara from clumping.

Create even more volume by using an eyelash primer which will give you a full base. Apply the white primer two or three times and leave to dry before applying mascara.

If your lashes are still not sufficiently separated, you could finish up by combing them with a special eyelash comb – or you can use an old, thoroughly cleaned mascara brush.

Lash fibres in black nylon applied to the very tip of your eyelashes will make them very long. Buy them from victoriahealth.com – they sell their products all over Europe. Apply lash fibres after the first stroke of mascara – then continue applying mascara with your classic brush.

2. Use your curved brush to the fullest Apply from the base to the end of your eyelashes, letting the curved brush enclose the lashes. At the same time, blink your eyes to press your lashes into the brush – this will enhance the curved shape.

3. Boost the effect The eyelash curler is your friend if you want to boost the effect of your curved brush. Always use the curler on completely clean eyelashes, before applying mascara, to keep lashes from breaking. Result: True ‘Bambi-lashes’.

Get ready to enjoy the berry season. The berries are beautiful and healthy – and you can use them in all meals. Try our favourite recipes (and do not worry, you can also use frozen berries)

Raspberries This small red berry is a true health miracle!

Because it is a socalled apocarpous fruit (this you can see from the many small ‘drops’ that the berry consists of) it contains extremely many dietary fibres – up to 20% of its weight is actually dietary fibres.

Furthermore, the berry is full of vitamin C, manganese, and antioxidants.

morningenergizer This enhanced smoothie contains oatmeal and will make you feel full for a long time. Added bonus: It will take you just about 1 minute to blend it – perfect if you feel tired and hungry in the morning.

For 1 person: 1 banana 1 handful raspberries 1 dl yogurt 0,5 dl oatmeal 2 tsp. honey 1 Combine yogurt, oatmeal, raspberries, and banana in a blender and process 2 If needed, add more yogurt or oatmeal and process until frothy.

3 Add honey to taste.

Blackberries Blueberries

The berry described by health experts as a ‘pure brain energizer’ – and there is something to it. Blueberry is probably the most thoroughly researched berry, and according to scientists, the berry has positive effects on memory and blood pressure. Furthermore, it is thought to lower a person’s cholesterol level and work as a natural antidepressant.

Wild rice with almonds and blueberries Blueberries have become an ingredient which is primarily used in bakery – but as a matter of fact, they fit just nicely into salty cooking as well. We love this pilaf served with duck or salmon – and it is so beautiful.

For 1 person: 1/2 red onion, finely chopped 50 g almonds, blanched 15 g butter 50 g wild rice 100 g blueberries 1.5 dl chicken stock Black pepper 1 Toast almonds in butter till light brown.

2 Add onions and sauté for about one minute.

3 Add rice and chicken stock. Simmer, covered, for 35 minutes.

4 Remove lid, increase heat to high for 5 minutes, until most of the liquid has evaporated.

5 Stir in the berries and heat thoroughly.

6 Season with pepper and serve.

This beautiful, black berry contains small seeds, not always popular. But you really should eat them - they contain lots of omega 3 and omega 6 oil which is good for you.

And you can avoid the taste of fish! Besides the oils, you will get proteins, dietary fibres, and carotene which will keep you full and energetic.

TIP With 100 grams of blackcurrant you have covered 302 % of your daily need for vitamin C

Blackcurrant

Blackcurrant is the blue-black cousin of the redcurrant – and just as healthy. If you eat 100 g of blackcurrants, you will have covered 302% of your daily need for vitamin C. Besides a number of other necessary nutrients, the oil in the small seeds is full of vitamin E, and studies have shown that children of mothers who had taken blackcurrant-seed-oil during and after pregnancy had a significantly lower risk of getting dermatitis.

Blackberry muffins Blackberries are rather firm and therefore very good for baking, as they do not get slushy.

We love them in muffins baked with maple syrup which gives them a delicious caramelised taste.

Greek yogurt, blackcurrants, honey and crunch

Salad with pear, redcurrants and Parmesan

Enjoy this delicious, healthy and easy dessert with the colourful berries. You can even enjoy it for breakfast – simply substitute oatmeal for tortilla crunch.

For 1 person: 2 dl Greek yogurt (2 or 10% – up to you) 1 handful blackcurrants Liquid honey 1 whole-grain tortilla 1 Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Place tortilla on a baking grid and bake until crisp.

2 Cool and crunch.

3 Serve yogurt topped with blackcurrants and tortilla crunch.

4 Drip with honey.

An extremely beautiful salad which makes a perfect starter. We love how the delicate redcurrants top the salad like small jewels.

Redcurrant Do you remember having redcurrants with sugar as a child? A red, sweet shock on a warm day in late Summer. But redcurrants can do much more than that for you.

For example, redcurrants contain 4 times as much vitamin C as oranges, and you will get a great amount of calcium and iron as well.

For 1 person: 50 g mixed salad greens (try rocket and spinach) 1 pear thinly sliced parmesan cheese, flaked 1 handful redcurrants balsamic vinegar or oil 1 Combine salad greens and pear slices and serve on a dish.

2 Garnish with flakes of parmesan cheese and little condensed balsamic vinegar or your favourite oil.

3 Sprinkle with redcurrants.

For 15 muffins: 200 g soft butter 100 g cane sugar 1 dl maple syrup 3 eggs 250 g flour 3 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. vanilla extract 50 g almonds, chopped coarsely 1 dl milk 100 g black berries 1 Mix butter, sugar, and maple syrup in a bowl.

2 Whip eggs into batter, one at a time.

3 Add flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract to batter.

4 Stir in almonds and milk – then stir in black berries.

5 Pour batter into muffin pan – do not overfill, as muffins will rise.

6 Bake muffins at 200 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes. i 15-20 minutter.

Get the look from the fashion series Stylist Vivi Schmidt has put make-up on our beautiful Zizzi models in this edition of Zizzi Magazine. Get her tips and tricks for 3 gorgeous and very different looks here

Elegance like a film star This look is inspired by the classic Hollywood stars – a natural eye make-up and red lips. It is important that you choose a matt lipstick to get the original Hollywood look.

Skin A good foundation is the base of a perfect longlasting make-up. Choose the lightest possible colour that matches your natural skin colour. Also, apply a light powder to get the right film star look.

Finish with a rose blush under your cheekbones and up towards your temples.

Eyes Star by applying a gel eyeliner in a thick, sweeping line to the upper lashline. Highlight all of your eyelid area with a light or white eyeshadow – then apply a brown eyeshadow forming a wing across the eyelid below the crease and make it swing slightly upward at the outer corner.

Emphasise your globe line with a light grey shadow and finish with lots of black mascara. I the mood for gala? Add a few fake eyelashes to the outer third of your upper lashline.

Choose a matt lipstick and be sure to apply it razor-sharply – and to saturate the colour completely. Choose a tone that matches your skin (warm red for a cold skin tone and vice versa).

Bear in mind that a cold, blue-red tone will make your teeth look whiter.

The everyday heroine Your everyday make-up must enhance the very best version of you and ensure that your skin has a glow to make you look fresh.

THE GOOD FOUNDATION Grey skin and dark areas make you look off your game. To avoid this, apply a light foundation – do not cover completely to ensure a natural look. Dark areas under your eyes?

Dab a concealer on relevant spots. Finish up with a translucent powder – tap the brush lightly before applying to ensure a perfect amount of powder – then apply a rose blush below your cheekbone and up towards your temples.

VIVID EYES Start by applying a light beige eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eye – this makes you look fresh and rested. Then apply a brown tone in a V-shape from the outer part of your eyelid and inward along your globe line. Blend colour well towards your eyebrow and into the beige. Finish up with mascara.

FRESH LIPS For everyday use a translucent lip gloss on well-cared-for lips. This means that they are not dry or chapped – wellcared-for lips are essential for a good result. Use a Vaseline based lip balm and a toothbrush (one that you do not use for brushing your teeth) and brush your lips soft and smooth.

Raw and natural tribal look

The Earth colours and the pronounced eyebrows are the essence of this style and will give you a surprisingly all-round look.

STEP 1 Create a good base with a light foundation which blends well with your own skin to obtain a natural look. Only apply powder if your skin tends to shine. Mark your cheekbones clearly – using a brown matt blush under your cheekbones and dab a little light highlighter above your cheekbone.

STEP 2 Apply 2 eyeshades – a light beige shade on the inner half of your eyelid and a brown shade on the outer half. Also, apply the beige shade in a broad line across your globe line, using a broad brush. Finish up with a dark eyeliner on the waterline around your eye and black mascara.

The eyebrows play the leading role in this dramatic look. Line or colour your brows heavily – and brush them upwards a little to enhance the effect.
