The project dedicated to design the architect’s office as this would be the most suitable program to incorporate the main principle of rafael vinoly, an Uruguayan architect, as well as respond to the particular needs of the his method. The architecture office or studio is not only a place to work but it is also a meeting place for the architect with potential clients, collaborators, etc. It can serve as sample of a certain approach to architecture spatially, stylistically or strategically. In this case, Vinoly’s office was not only considered a working place but also a commercial space where any person can come to visit. Concerning the site of tropical area created the intregation of venecular design together with Vinoly’s main principles which could be found in most of his work.

The approach of the design was to create a complex community within Vinoly’s office where the public space and architect’s office merged together. The orientation and shape of each part of the building and take an advantage from environmental factors: maximize sunlight, natural ventilation and views. The public spaces are totally open allow wind and sunlight to penetrate through the area while the Working spaces are nearly opaque due to privacy which still allow daylight to flood through some part of the room. The gigantic steel truss structure is constructed over 40 metres in height where the concrete office boxes is attached to particular part of the tower providing different scenic point at each part of the building. Moreover, ETFE facade is not only allowed the light to pass through easily but its heat insulator can also protect the area from overheating.

Focusing on industrial architectures, the style was mostly concerned with the use of metal components that developed significantly during the industrial revolution. In the early applications of iron decorative designs, there was still considerable influence from earlier periods of classicaland more decorative periods of architecture. The elements that were the focus of the remake were the beam, column, dome and partition as all of these have seen a huge transformation in materiality since industialization as most were produced using wrought or cast iron. The concept of developments in technology and the manufacturing process from industrial era was also rethought and new methods of making and fabrication such as crafting metal sheet through laser cutting and the use of CNC machines were explored. From these investigations, new remade elements were applied to the design of an observatory.

STYLE : Recognising canons in architectural design Analysing of architectural elements in industrial evolution era from the case studies. Industrial architecture concerns 2 main goals : efficiency and safety. Improved economy in turning raw goods into manufactured items and in the construction of the buildings themselves, as well as the prevention of fire with the resulting loss of life and materials shaped the design of architecture.

A design of contemporary Pavilion in Lumpini Park, Bangkok. Space planning, form, structure, materials, finishing, assembly and foundations principles have to be defined and designed. The objectives is to understand the relations between design and structure, stability, materials, loads and stress. A crossing wood structure was used to form a space of a intersecting square pavillion. Apart from the exterior seats that allow the user to enjoy the environment of the park , the series of glass facade and polycarbonate roof are used surround the building providing clear atmosphere and beauty scenic point from every part of the building.

ZEN MONASTICISM DWELLING Chiyoda , Tokyo
The project dedicate to design a dwelling for zen monks who live or come to visit in Chiyoda where is located in the central of Tokyo , Japan and also known as the housing for numerous religious, historical and political buildings. The dwelling was designed to live over a decade and also be able to grow up in the future ( due to the increase in number of dwellers ). By looking in to the activities of zen monks that occur in daily period times whether it be the ordination ceremony , meditation , or the other religious purposes. , the proportion of the monk through each activities become the main consideration for the design.

PHYSICAL & CULTURAL CONTEXT Living in the world of contrast, people are struggling in the complication. This become one of the reason why we always seek for something that totally peaceful. However , there is no such a authentic peace inside this world. If the meaning of life is to be in the world of peace, then the only answer is to become enlighten.
23

INSTANCE AXONOMETRIC The building is placed on the historical area of the city, thus the design is followed the cultural context which derives from the identity of Japanese monastery such as the proportion of tatami pattern, material and the connection between each room which surrounded by Engawa ,Japanese balcony. Moreover, a monastic condominium is also provided for those who come to perform a religious ceremony for a short period of time.

NEW TYPOLOGY FOR THAI MILITARY ARMY Abandoned shrimp farm , Samut Prakan , Thailand
“
The truth is the state of being change from a civilian to become a soldier means you have sacrifice a lot of thins such as comfort, freedom provide with very minimum utility to survive in each circumstances. It is very important responsibility to look out for the others.
“
The project looking toward military system in Thailand by analysing through the military hierarchy and organisational systems. The main objective for the project is to find the possibilities ( which could be done by Thai soldiers ) to turn the abandoned area in Thailand to become fruitful as it used to be by integrating the military training program with the land manipulation process. Ti be obvious ,the design is relied more on managing the landscape than finding new strategy in architecture .As a result , the land would not only become regenerated but it also become a land use for military basecamp.
“
The meaning of surviving is not defined by whether you win the war or not. From the past we had learnt that war, there aren't any things good. Until now we still don't realize what we had done to our land. We destroyed the land and we called it abandoned. But what is it really is abandoned. If we see it as abandoned it abandoned but if we see it as a useful space , it is useful.. It depends on whether you see the value of it or not.

OPERATING PLAN The whole area was organized by the military headquarters before the command was send to each military unit of the area. While the supplier community is the group that transport the military groups and any needed resources used for manipulation to the site whether it from boat, helicopter and the truck. Since the soldiers are sent here to stay for certain period of time , most of the structure is prefabricated and existed temporary. However, some of them were just left there as a permanent structure like the traces were left from the war.

BLIND TOURISM Chatuchak , Bangkok , Thailand
The project focuses on defining a new uprising of tourism , closer to anthropological travelling, that emerge as a criticism to mass consumption tourism. In this case, the design of architecture would allow the clients to stay in one place where they can learn more in depth about one thing rather than running from city to city in a constant race. The sensorial ring propose to expose the user’s body senses. It emphasizes on experiencing Thai’s elements that could be perceived throughout Bangkok whether it be the smell from the street food ,heat from the sun, texture of the ornament or the sound of the commotion. Generally , more than 80 percent of people judges the thing through their sense of sight. However , traveling just to see things might degenerate the true meaning of traveling which has been overlooked over a decade. At this point, to deeply understand the idea of extreme perception, the best answer is to understand the notion of blind people (shown in diagram beside ).As a result, The sensorial ring became an architecture that took the idea of blind’s perception ( able to perceive only one thing at a time ) as a strategy , allow the users to stay overnight and enjoy the moment they have to encounter at every single moment through their different senses by enhancing and maximizing the environment of the surrounding context.

PARADOX OF TOURISM Tourism in Thailand is a major player in its economy having accounted in 2015 for 19.3 percent (2.3 trillion THB) of Thailand's GDP. In 2016, Bangkok ranked first as "Top City Destinations" in Euromonior International. Suvarnabhumi Airport and SiamParagon shopping mall were ranked number one and two respectively in a list of the most photographed locations worldwide in 2012 in Instagram. As tourism is expected to increase even more in the future, it is crucial for us architects to reflect on this situation. During the studio, we have looked at the paradoxes that modern tourism presents: the attempt to present authenticity often deadening it;the search for adventure framed by a necessity of comfort and security; the look for a stronger connection with nature versus the unsustainable nature of tourism; the support for local industries like agriculture while raising local inflation; the creation of local jobs while the benefits mostly end up with global multinational corporations.
The collage besides shows one the of evolution of tourism from historical precedents to emerge concepts of traveling that are slowing supplanting the more traditional ones bofore proposed a new hybrid building that implements a new way of tourism.

ENGAGED TRAVELING GUIDE After the research phase, the next step is to investigate the more common perception tourists have of Bangkok (the clichĂŠ),which involves most famous touristic attractions, party neighborhoods and purely touristic sites. Ino pposition to that, the guide will find the hidden potentials of the city (the authentic).

CONTEXT & BACKGROUND. The monumental ring is placed over Chatuchak, one of the famous traveling place in Bangkok , covering BTS Mo Chit , Chatuchak park, JJ market until Chatuchak green night market . Since this considering site provides various kind of environment and activities that express the identity of Thailand , it merges the diversity of senses and feeling into one p l a c e . Regarding the ring shape ,the sequence works almost as an exhibition space which give an unrepeatable path that the user do not have to go back and repeat the same sensation. Between the rings, a set of collective programs and accommodation units are placed differently relating to the context providing unique sensation to e x p e r i e n c e .

IT’S TIME TO FEEL THE TRUE BANGKOK CITY
“
It wouldn’t called Thailand if you don’t let the sun flood on you. Can you still remember , when was the last time you sense the breeze of the wind or that scent of the street food you love. Perhaps, this is the time for you ... to acknowledge the body’s Emotional Experience with all of the senses you have.
“
As it can be seen from the sections, the rise and decline of the slope represent the the collective program while an unconventional accommodation units appear as boxes , provided for the visitors to stay overnight, located between the collective programs and hanged underneath corridor which can be entered by spiral stairs. However , what makes this place become unique is that visitors would not allow to interact with the context until they reach the collective programs since in each program, there is an aperture provided for perceiving the feeling earn from the c o n t e x t . In term of materiality, as it can be seen from the drawing, the enclosed part were made of concrete while the open part is completed with the wood structure covering with a glass surface.

LIVE DIFFERENTLY.
A new way of living is conveyed in the bedroom. The accommodation composes 4 types of accommodation units. First of all , a room of texture , connected between ground and the building where allowed guest to touch the texture of the paving system or the facade of the surroundings. Secondly , a room of scent , provided for guest to sleep on the nose of the room which use for collecting the smell of the context. Thirdly, a room of noise , allowed guest to sleep on the megaphone structure that used for amplifying the sound of the context. Lastly , a room of view, worked as obscura camera using for capturing and projecting the perspective of the context inside the room. Each bedroom is spread and placed related to the distinctive point of the context giving dweller an extreme experience . To give an example , the room of scent that is placed over the street vender of JJ market might allow the dweller to enjoy the delicious smell of the street food while the room of scent that located over the Chatuchak park might allow them to enjoy the scent of flower or tree instead.

THE HARMONY OF NATURE & THE BEAUTY OF INVISIBLE Nakornsrithammarat , Thailand
When we talking about general term of national park, it can be defined as an area of scenic beauty , historical and scientific interest, etc. maintained and preserved by the federal government for the public to visit. most of the time , we could see that ,people enjoy the activities within the national park during the day. however to me, national park would rather become even more interesting when the light start to fade and the dark start to come. the shift of time is the creation of shifting in diversity of the island , in other words, complexity of the forest happens at night. As it could be seen from common national park in thailand, most of the structure is constructed heavily and permanently which become one of the major natural disturbance that need to avoid. to make matters worse , the ecological ignorant of these structures is limiting and minimizing the experience that we could earn from the nature. according to the vertical forest layer, there are much more experience we could earn from different level of the forest due to shifting in b i o d i v e r s i t y . Therefore, the aim of the design is focused on structural establishment that leave the minimum impact to nature while maximize the night hiking experience based on the the idea of concealing from the ground level which mean the structural elements only leave the ground with minimal footprint. in this case the rope is used as main tension structure for most of the area. with the flexibility of this architectural element , it can be adapt and apply in any place of the island, adjust in any direction of the tree, emphasize the natural experience by promoting vertical circulation, enhance ecological condition by supporting each other tree , allow water to flow freely , prevent the soil from erosion and lastly not disturb the animal path.

USERS & PROGRAMS night hiking is inherently different from day hiking because of the lighting conditions. the reason is it makes the night sky a view able resource for visitors. this study suggested that night sky, particularly the stars and moon, were an important experiential resource during night hiking.according to the "bortle scale", night sky could be totally affected by the artificial light condition.the more artificial light in the area, the less natural light we see. in this case , to maximize the viewing of the clear night sky and minimizing the light pollution at night, the numbers of electrical devices brought to the site will be controlled.

“
Mae ku, Thailand,
The Farmhouse school isorganised to assist in the education and well-being of the children of Burmese migrant workers and refugees whose families have been relocated to Thailand. The school is in dire need of new educational resources and Teaching classrooms. The project site is located in Mae Ku , a village north of Mae sot. The approach of the classroom has been look through 3 concepts which are Thai as roof, roof as mass and mass as space. By using local materials such as bamboo, rammed earth , it can create such a pleasing classroom in which can create a hope for these Burmese students to improve their quality of life.
The Mae Ku Learning Center was developed through the Design and Build for Community course at the International Design and Architecture (INDA) program at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. Started by Dr. Preechaya Sitipunt, this course connects communities from throughout Thailand to the university resources to create a meaningful p r o j e c t .
The design build course gathered twenty students in Bangkok to study mass, material and program. Through site visits and a collaborative design process, students worked to refine and document the project and then participated in the building construction on site. The course was taught by Wisarut Eric Wattanachote of WIWA-Studio and Jason Orbe-Smith of Orbe Architecture. The project was realized through a design and construction collaboration with Juan and Yago Cuevas of Estudio C a v e r n a s

Faced with minimal resources, the Min Tu Won School’s existing classrooms needed relief for their overcrowded teaching areas. They sought additional room for 70 students to improve the learning conditions of the school as well as to continue to cultivate and promote local education. The new center responds to these needs with a massing of adaptable, multi-functional spaces. Two large interior volumes form an open floor area for teaching, studying and interactive learning. As the school grows and develops, these spaces will be able to accommodate the Min Tu Won School’s evolving c o n d i t i o n s .

The large classroom volumes feature blackboards, built-in wall benches and storage space. An open floor plan allows for flexibility in the arrangement of the learning areas. The interior is illuminated with soft, natural light using skylights. A delicate, veiled bamboo skin wraps the interior spaces, creating a world of passageways and spaces for students to discover. Sunlight is filtered through, adding depth and volume to the building. The bamboo skin acts as an environmental mediator, screening the interior rammed earth walls from direct sunlight and rain while welcoming fresh air and breeze to pass through.

As part of the philosophy of Estudio Cavernas, the design of the building uses low-tech constructive systems that can be built by all workers, ensuring that most of the systems are adapted to the available materials and skills. The beneficiaries of the project are involved throughout the design and construction process, allowing them to take pride and ownership in the building and to encourage the continued success and maintenance of the learning center.
