M&T BANK GAME PREVIEW
QUOTH THE RAVEN “It just comes down to this being a playoff-game mentality. I want every inch, I want to keep these drives going, and I want to win. That’s what third down, those extra inches, that’s what those resemble. I just keep fighting and not giving up and not letting someone push me around. I definitely have that passion in me, and I just want to keep it going and bring everybody with me.” – WR Willie Snead IV on the edge he brings to football games
Looking for their second-straight win at home, the Baltimore Ravens (5-5) host the Oakland Raiders (2-8) in a Thanksgiving Weekend battle at M&T Bank Stadium. Sitting second in the AFC North standings, Baltimore remains in the thick of the AFC playoff race and currently holds the conference’s second Wild Card position. In last Sunday’s 24-21 home win over Cincinnati, Baltimore produced the fifth-most rushing yards (265, tied) in franchise history. Rookies QB Lamar Jackson (117) and RB Gus Edwards (115) each rushed for over 100 yards, marking the first time in NFL history that a team had a rookie QB & RB each surpass 100 rushing yards in a game. (Jackson’s 117 also stand as the most in league history by a QB in his starting debut.) Filling in for injured QB Joe Flacco (hip), Jackson completed 13 of 19 passes for 150 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT, finding WR Willie Snead IV 5 times for a team-high 51 receiving yards. Baltimore outgained Cincinnati in total yards, 403 to 255, marking the third-fewest yards permitted by the Ravens this season. Under John Harbaugh, the Ravens are 4-2 against Oakland, including a

These two teams last met during the 2017 campaign, when the Ravens won, 30-17, at Oakland. In his 11th season at Baltimore’s helm, Harbaugh has led the Ravens to a 109-76 overall record (10-5 postseason), posting the NFL’s fifthmost total victories since his 2008 arrival. The Ravens have played in three AFC title games (2008, 2011 & 2012) under Harbaugh, while in 2012, he guided the franchise to its second Super Bowl victory. 2018 BALTIMORE RAVENS GAMEDAY | 5

You’re a fan of the theatre. Do you have a dream role that you would love to play? “Mufasa from ‘The Lion King.’ That would be awesome! I’ve always loved ‘Lion King’ growing up – that’s my favorite movie. I just love it. I hold my son up like Rafiki does with Simba, like, every day.” What is the weirdest meal you’ve ever had? “When I was a kid, I thought it would be smart to make a jelly and mustard sandwich. I don’t know why. It was grape jelly, but it was disgusting. I got my brother to eat it and I got one of my cousins to eat it, and they threw up instantly. It was all bad.” Where’s one place you’ve never been but always wanted to go? “Tokyo, Japan. I love sushi, I love seafood, but also, I love their culture. All the electronics and the city just glows in the dark. I would love to see that. Plus, I’m a ‘Fast and Furious’ junkie. ‘Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift?’ I would love to go there and learn how to drift.” Who would you want to compete against in a lip sync battle? “My only competition would be Justin Tucker, I think. He’s so animated. Matthew Judon would be good at that, but I’d probably go against Tucker. I don’t know what song I would do. It would have to be something energetic and fun where I can move around – because we’re lip syncing, it’s not like I have to sing. Something with a lot of emotion that I can get into. Maybe Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ or something.”
2018 BALTIMORE RAVENS GAMEDAY | 13
What’s one thing that’s guaranteed to make you smile? “Saying the word ‘smile.’ (laughs) Anything – I’m always pretty happy.”
“Super strength, obviously. I like The Incredible Hulk. But I also love Wolverine with his claws and how he’s indestructible.”
What constitutes as a perfect day for you? “I would say, waking up in the morning – probably cooking breakfast for the family, getting the boys off to school, spending some time with the wife. Maybe running errands or something? Probably getting some time to myself too, maybe take some time for me and my wife to watch a movie or a TV show.”
So would you want the claws or to be indestructible? “They’re both just gifts and curses at the same time. It’s so tough. Every time I get my claws out, I would rip my skin but at the same time, I heal fast. But if I was The Hulk, and any time I would get excited, I would freak out. It’s one of those things where it’s a blessing and a curse. I’d probably go with all of the good stuff and none of the bad stuff. If it’s a perfect world, I would have my super strength and be me and wouldn’t turn green.”
If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one ability or quality, what would it be?

What is the last thing that made you laugh out loud? “My kids wrestling and playing hide-and-go-seek [the other day]. It was the funniest thing I ever seen in my life. First of all, they weren’t hiding very well. Second of all, my son is a cheater. He likes to count and look [through his fingers]. I love him to death but still. That was the highlight of my day.” Were you hiding as well? “I was hiding in the closets. It took him forever to find me. I was making turkey noises, so they could come find me. He would run by me and I would make a turkey noise, and he would start yelling. It was awesome.”

RAVENS & PLAY 60 For the 12th-straight year, the Ravens and the NFL are combining efforts to bring the PLAY 60 message to youth all around the state of Maryland. NFL PLAY 60 is a league-wide effort to fight childhood obesity by getting kids active for at least 60 minutes a day. The team has partnered with local school systems to run the 2018 NFL PLAY 60 Challenge – a four-week physical activity program that was executed through the month of October. Students documented their daily minutes of activity for the opportunity to win Ravens-themed incentive prizes throughout the course of the program. The three schools with the top participation will each be treated to a rewards assembly with Ravens players,
cheerleaders and Poe tomorrow (11/26). Additionally, the 12 top-performing students from all participating schools will be honored at the Week 15 Ravens vs. Buccaneers game at M&T Bank Stadium. The Ravens continue their PLAY 60 community outreach throughout the entire year by facilitating healtheducator training sessions with the Cooper Institure and National Dairy Council, hosting numerous PLAY 60 events, including the second annual PLAY 60 All-Ability Football Clinic, an event for Special Olympics Maryland athletes to get active alongside NFL stars, as well as the annual Hometown Huddle Ravens TEAM Challenge, PLAY 60 school visits and the Spring Rewards Luncheon, held annually at one of the team’s facilities.
