C OAC H H A R BAU G H S AY S RAVENS PLAYERS FACING LAST WEEK’S ADVERSITY:

“That was our goal, not to blink, because we’re not going to be pushed around by something we can’t control. We controlled the things we could control in that sense, and that’s the real test. That’s the type of adversity great things are built on. That’s what I’m proud of these guys for and the way they handled it. They kept getting hit with these gut punches, and they just kept coming to the next day, the next day, the next day. That’s really the success that really matters.”

QUICK HITS • The Baltimore Ravens (6-5) host the Dallas Cowboys (3-8) in a special primetime edition of “Tuesday Night Football.” This game, which was originally slated for Thursday, Dec. 3, was moved to Dec. 8 following adjustments to the Ravens’ schedule after the team’s COVID-19 outbreak leading up to its Week 12 game at Pittsburgh. (That game was postponed three times and eventually played on Dec. 2.)

I N J U RY U P DAT E • In Wednesday’s game at Pittsburgh, 17 Ravens were on the Reserve/ COVID-19 list, including nine starters (and seven Pro Bowlers): TE Mark Andrews, DT Calais Campbell, LS Morgan Cox, RB Mark Ingram II, QB Lamar Jackson, OLB Matthew Judon, C Patrick Mekari, FB Patrick Ricard and WR Willie Snead IV. Standout rookie RB J.K. Dobbins also missed the contest due being on the COVID-19 list. • Pro Bowl D-linemen DE Calais Campbell (calf, past three games) and DT Brandon Williams (ankle, past two games) have missed significant action in recent weeks. • Against Pittsburgh, QB Robert Griffin III (thigh), CB Jimmy Smith (groin), DT Broderick Washington (concussion protocol) and CB Tramon Williams (thigh) left the game and did not return. • Two offensive starters are on Injured Reserve: TE Nick Boyle (knee) and All-Pro LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle).

• The Ravens, who have dropped three-straight games for the first time since 2018, look to rebound from a hard-fought 19-14 defeat at Heinz Field on Wednesday. With 17 players on the COVID-19 list, including nine starters, the Ravens were forced to activate 10 players from the practice squad. Baltimore produced a valiant effort, pulling within 5 points on a QB Trace McSorley-to-WR Marquise Brown 70yard TD connection with 2:58 remaining. However, the Steelers twice converted on third down on their ensuing possession to seal the win. Filling in for QB Lamar Jackson, QB Robert Griffin III completed 7-of12 passes for 33 yards and tossed 1 INT, which was returned for a first-quarter TD by CB Joe Haden. Griffin III rushed for a game-high 68 yards but was sidelined in the fourth quarter with a thigh injury, giving way for McSorley to connect on 2-of-6 attempts for 77 yards. On defense, the Ravens tallied 7 PD and 6 QBH, holding Pittsburgh to 6-of-14 on third down and 1-of-4 in goal-to-go situations.

NOTE OF THE WEEK

• The Ravens are 4-1 all time against the Cowboys, including a 3-0 mark in Baltimore. Under John Harbaugh, the Ravens are 2-1 when facing Dallas, last doing so in a 27-17 defeat at AT&T Stadium in 2016.
