TOGETHER 2017
COMMUNITY IMPACT
OUR MISSION IS TO WIN FOOTBALL GAMES, SERVE OUR FANS AND BE A POSITIVE FORCE IN OUR COMMUNITY.
Dear Friend and Devoted Ravens Fan: The Ravens are committed to embrace and improve the communities surrounding our team. This investment and kindness started with the Modell family when the franchise was born in 1996. Annually, we produce a community relations book to highlight these efforts. This year we are sharing this publication with all the fans and supporters who follow the Ravens. Included in this book are many of the activities our team completed in 2017. This important work to make positive change, especially from our players, continues to improve the lives of thousands of children, families and first responders, including members of the military and police departments. With encouragement and support from many of you, we continue to use our energy, visibility and investments to make our home a better place. Thank you for being an important part of these efforts. Sincerely,
Steve Bisciotti
“Wow, we had a great day out in the community, alongside the Baltimore police, to let these young people know that, ‘We are here for you. We are all in this together.’ We also want them to know that our police officers want to help people thrive. Hopefully, as they saw the Ravens and the Baltimore City Police standing together, we can start to help bridge the gap.”

You don’t have to spend much time with Benjamin to understand his passion for serving others. He is an exceptional person who has a unique ability to lead, educate and inspire. For him to be honored with this award is outstanding. He never looks for recognition, but he certainly deserves it.
– Ravens Owner Steve Bisciotti
BENJAMIN WATSON was named a finalist for the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. He also received the distinguished Bart Starr Award and was voted by his teammates to be the Ed Block Courage Award recipient.

OUR TEAM. OUR COMMUNITY. Our players are in the community. I know of guys who are riding along with police, who are in firehouses around Baltimore, who are in schools, who are in daycare centers, who are at shelters every single day, trying to make a difference. I think fans would really be proud of the people that are representing them as football players in this town. – Head Coach John Harbaugh

The Ravens’ Hometown Huddle is one of United Way’s favorite events. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the kids.
