After 20 years together... there’s nothing we can’t tackle. Trusted medical team of the Ravens. And you.
QUOTH THE RAVEN
“I played against Kyle Hamilton [when he was a] rookie. How he’s emerged in this defense, when they get him down near the line of scrimmage, he’s got that elite burst. He’s such a presence down there. Yeah, he’s listed as a safety, but get him close to the line of scrimmage, and he makes plays. That’s very rare to find.”
— FOX Analyst Tom Brady on S Kyle Hamilton
The Baltimore Ravens (1-2) host the Buffalo Bills (3-0) in a Sunday Night Football primetime showdown from M&T Bank Stadium. Baltimore and Buffalo (five each) are two of just four teams (also KC - 6 & Phi. - 5) to earn at least five playoff berths over the past six seasons. Since the 2018 campaign, when QB Lamar Jackson and QB Josh Allen were drafted by their respective clubs, only Kansas City (78) has produced more regular season wins than the Ravens and Bills (tied with 67 each).
In his 17th season with the Ravens, John Harbaugh stands as the NFL’s second-longest-tenured coach (Mike Tomlin - 18). Harbaugh has led Baltimore to 11 playoff berths, winning Super Bowl XLVII in 2012 and producing an overall 173-111 record (including playoffs). Sean McDermott is in his eighth season with Buffalo, compiling an 81-47 overall mark.
NUMBERS TO NOTE
20-3 – NFL-best record Baltimore has produced in primetime home games since John Harbaugh’s arrival in 2008.
+237 – In the 23 primetime home games (since 2008), the Ravens own a +237 scoring margin, posting 623 points (27.1ppg) compared to permitting 386 (16.8 ppg allowed).
36 – Consecutive games
Baltimore has rushed for 100+ yards, marking the fifth-longest streak in NFL history.
The Ravens hold a 6-4 regular season series lead vs. Buffalo, including a 5-2 mark in Charm City. These teams last met in 2022, when the Bills prevailed 23-20 at M&T Bank Stadium.
Baltimore is coming off a 28-25 victory at Dallas last Sunday, which saw the Ravens rack up 456 total yards, including 274 rushing. RB Derrick Henry led the ground assault with 151 yards and 2 TDs, while Jackson recorded 87 and 1 TD. Jackson also completed 12of-15 passes for 182 yards and 1 TD (WR Rashod Bateman), before sealing the game with a 10-yard scamper with just under two minutes remaining. After originally jumping out to a 28-6 third-quarter lead, the Ravens held off
956 – QB Lamar Jackson has produced the NFL’s most combined pass+rush yards entering Week 4. Jackson is averaging 7.8 yards per pass attempt, which ranks No. 7 in the NFL, while his 7.3 rushing yardsper-carry mark stands No. 2.
12 – RB Derrick Henry has now recorded 12 career games where he has rushed for 150+ yards and 2 TDs, tying for the second-most such performances in NFL history.
Dallas’ comeback attempt and earned their first victory of 2024. Buffalo, meanwhile, produced a dominant 47-10 home win over Jacksonville on Monday night, with Allen completing 23-of-30 passes for 263 yards & 4 TDs.

ON THE RAVENS’ VERSATLITY THAT PRIORITIZES RUNNING WHEN NEEDED MOST:
“One of our approaches is that we have a lot of multiple personnel groups we use – that’s kind of the way we go. From one game to the next, you’ll probably see different emphases in different places. To be able to run the ball – we call it ‘must-run’ – when you really want to run the ball and do it out of big groups and protect the edges and all that, that’s something that’s in our DNA. It’s been that way a long time. We definitely want to live in that world, if we can.”

In the small town of Marshallville, Ga., a community made up of just over 1,000 people, opportunities to become an icon on a national stage are few and far between.
Yet, amid an environment of adversity and pitted dreams, Roquan Smith had the will to make it big, and he’s done so wearing his roots on his sleeve.
The Marshallville native’s path to stardom has seemed almost destined from the start. “Ro,” as his teammates call him, was introduced to the game of football as a boy, becoming a local prodigy in youth leagues. His reputation throughout Georgia’s Macon County heightened to where coaches were forced to keep a copy of his birth certificate on hand, disputing opposing claims of him being too old to compete at a certain level.
Following a successful high school playing career, Smith decided to remain close to home by committing to the University of Georgia. While in Athens, he helped lead the Bulldogs to the National
Award as the nation’s top linebacker. No longer was he just the pride of his hometown, but the entire state in which he grew up.
“Ro” carried this early success into the NFL, where he’s been a model of consistency on defense, recording at least 100 tackles in each of his six full seasons in the league. In 2022, when he was traded midseason to the Ravens from the Chicago Bears, the team that drafted him eighth overall in 2018, Smith put a new community on his shoulders, and his impact was felt immediately.
Finishing the 2022 season third in the NFL in tackles (169), Smith was once again awarded the NFL’s Butkus Award, becoming just the fourth player to earn the distinguished honor as both a collegiate and professional athlete. (Smith then won it again in 2023 after leading the Ravens’ top-ranked defense.)
Far beyond his exceptional play, teammates have regularly sung Smith’s praises for his rare ability to make
“He’s a great teammate and a great leader.”
—Trenton Simpson
around him. The overall impact on his teammates has been massive. One of those players is new Ravens safety Eddie Jackson, who also played with Smith as a member of the Bears from 2018-22.
“I know the type of person he is, the type of player he is, the type of leader he is and what he brings to the team, as well as to the defense every Sunday when he steps on the field,” stated Jackson.
“Just knowing his mentality – with him going out there flying around, making plays, wanting to put everything on his shoulders, wanting everybody to follow him and kind of mirror him and how he plays the game.”
Ravens faithful have quickly seen firsthand the type of player Smith is since he arrived in Charm City. Upon acquiring the All-Pro, the Ravens have allowed the fewest points per game in the NFL (16.9), while permitting a league-low 39.3% opponent red zone efficiency. His play also helped spur a historic 2023 season for the Ravens defense, which became the first unit in league history to rank No. 1 in each points allowed (16.5 ppg), sacks (60) and takeaways (31, tied w/ NYG).
Baltimore’s second-year ILB Trenton Simpson, who stepped into a starting role in 2024, has already picked up a lot from being around Smith: “He’s a great person to learn from, so I try to get some advice every time I’m around him. He’s a great teammate and a great leader, so I’m always trying to learn from him in any aspect of life.”
Smith’s humble upbringing and experiences have helped him make an indelible mark over the course of his life, both on and off the football field. But as everyone back home knows – his story is not done yet.
OLB KYLE VAN NOY
Veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy’s leadership and experience are key drivers of the Ravens’ defense. The BYU product and two-time Super Bowl champion is an intimidating force for opposing offenses and is a constant threat to make a big-time play. Through three games in 2024, Van Noy leads the team with 4 sacks. Learn more about him below:
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO ON YOUR OFF DAY?
Recover and watch TV shows.
WHICH TEAMMATE/COACH HAS THE BEST GAMEDAY STYLE/OUTFIT? WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT IT?
Besides me, I’m going to go with [defensive coordinator] Zach Orr. He’s been stylish, clean and classy. He puts it together really well.
COLLEGE OR PRO, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE STADIUM TO PLAY IN?
BYU’s LaVell Edwards Stadium. It’s a beautiful backdrop with a grass field and seats 68,000 people. WHAT IS AN UNDERRATED SNACK FOOD?
Goldfish and Gatorade combined. Those two together. They just flow well together.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE PODCAST, OR DO YOU PREFER LISTENING TO MUSIC WHILE DRIVING?
I actually like podcasts. There’s a lot I listen to. Obviously, my guy, The Pat McAfee Show. You have so many right now that are so good. ‘We Study Billionaires’ talks about the stock market and what famous billionaires would do. That one’s very interesting. I listen to The J.J. Reddick Podcast.
DO YOU HAVE ANY HIDDEN TALENTS?
I’m good at video games, if that’s a hidden talent. WHAT/WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST MOTIVATION?
My family and then myself. I want to prove it to myself every day. I want to prove it to my family and my kids, Trae and Giavanna, making sure they’re good.
DO YOU – OR ANYONE IN YOUR FAMILY –HAVE A STRONG TIE TO THE MILITARY?
My wife, Marissa, and I both had grandparents and great grandparents that were in the U.S. Air Force and Navy.
ARE THERE ANY NONPROFIT/PARTICULAR CAUSES THAT YOU SUPPORT OR WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT?
Adoption and foster care. The Van Noy Valor Foundation that my wife and I started about 10 years ago helps kids who were adopted or are in foster care. We do Christmas tree giveaways each year. I’ll do one during the bye week this year where I’ll give Christmas trees, light ornaments, coats and toys to kids for Christmas. Back in Reno, Nevada, we hosted 53 kids at a minor league baseball game. We’ve done backpack giveaways. We’ve given out multiple scholarships for kids to go to college.

Baltimore Ravens Crucial Catch Efforts
The Ravens and the American Cancer Society (ACS) are supporting the fight against all cancers through the NFL’s “Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer” campaign.
During tonight’s game, the Ravens are recognizing nearly 50 PSL owners and fans who have courageously fought, and in some cases, continue to fight a wide variety of cancers. All fans in attendance will have the opportunity to display a placard with either a suggested message or personalized message, identifying the groups or individuals they honor as part of the Crucial Catch messaging.
The Ravens also continued to support cancer awareness efforts through the team’s annual Crucial Catch Day.
IN OUR COMMUNITY
On Sept. 23, the Ravens surprised 35 women who are currently battling various types of cancer for a day of pampering, self-care and fun. RB Justice Hill, OLB Tavius Robinson, CB Brandon Stephens, WR Tylan Wallace and CB Nate Wiggins joined the women for their special day. After a tour of M&T Bank Stadium, the women in attendance were escorted onto the field and into the Ravens locker room where they created their own flower bundle, received a massage and had their makeup done.
Additionally, CB Nate Wiggins and his foundation, Wiggs Worldwide Foundation, purchased custom-made wigs for all women in attendance.
