”I believe in everybody we have. I believe in my guys. The mistakes we’ve made, I know we’re going to fix, and we’re going to go out there and play some good football. In the second half of the season, we’re going to be a force to be reckoned with, that’s for sure.” – DE Calais Campbell on the defense
OLB Odafe Oweh
Coming off their bye week, the Baltimore Ravens (5-2) host the Minnesota Vikings (3-4) at 1 p.m. from M&T Bank Stadium. This marks the Ravens’ fourth-consecutive home game, with Baltimore posting a 3-1 record in Charm City in 2021. The Ravens are 5-2 for the ninth time in franchise history, matching records from 2020, 2019, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2006 and 2000 (all seasons Baltimore would go on to earn a playoff berth). The Ravens aim to become 6-2 for the seventh time (2006, 2010-12, 2019-20) in team history and for the third-straight season. Under head coach John Harbaugh, Baltimore is 10-3 in games immediately following a bye week. Since their 1996 inception, the Ravens are an NFL-best 17-8 (.680) in games immediately following a bye week. The Ravens have won 11 straight games against NFC opponents, dating back to Week 13 of 2018 at Atlanta. This ranks as the NFL’s longest active streak. In their last game (Week 7), the Ravens dropped a tough 41-17 contest to the visiting Bengals. Baltimore held a 17-13 lead early in the third quarter, however, Cincinnati scored 4 unanswered TDs to earn the decisive victory. QB Lamar Jackson produced a game-high 88 rushing yards on 12 carries, also completing 15-of- 31 passes for 257 yards and 1 TD. WR Marquise Brown reeled in

"I’m excited about where our offense could go. It’s the same thing on defense and on special teams. You kind of go back and forth between, ‘This is what we’re capable of becoming; these are our issues; these are the areas that we’re going to be what we are, so how can we make the most of that?’ And there are other areas where we have a chance to make a jump, maybe, because of guys getting healthy. There are other things we can take advantage of, schematically, because of the things we’ve done well that we can build on and add to."

Vibe
Stuck On
Tuck By vernon dennis
or the past decade, the Ravens Flock has grown to love and embrace its beloved scoring machine. You don’t need binoculars to see or feel his energy from any seat inside M&T Bank Stadium. Whether he’s connecting on 60-yarders in pre-game warmups, kicking the longest field goal in NFL history in gamewinning fashion or starring in local business TV commercials, the man they call “Tuck” has a leg, heart and spirit of pure gold. Justin Tucker is the life of the team facility. Around “The Castle,” he can be heard from just about any area in the building. He has a unique trait of being able to bring a smile to anyone’s darkest day. Some close to him say it’s almost as if he was destined to be the ultimate entertainer.
His locker sits at the front entrance to the locker room, making it nearly impossible to miss his presence. Whether he’s freestyling rap lyrics or cracking jokes among teammates, Tucker’s energy resonates through everyone around him. “You’ve never seen a kicker make so much noise in a team room,” Calais Campbell explained. “In the meetings, usually they try to be seen, not heard in that environment, but ‘Tuck’ is so comfortable. He’s a big jokester. He’s always keeping it light, keeping it fun in there, and it just says a lot about his confidence and just who he is as a person. He makes it fun to be his teammate.”
“He does have kind of the perfect personality for the job. He likes the stage. He’s not afraid of it; he relishes it,” Head Coach John Harbaugh stated. “It’s his personality. It’s who he is, and I think that combination, with talent and good coaching, goes a long way.”
Don’t get it twisted – off the field, Tucker is full of fun and games. But on it, he’s all business. Confidence is the underlying trait that everyone would agree he never lacks, which is also a direct contribution to his success. “When you look at Justin, it’s about confidence, and that goes 10 | 2021 BALTIMORE RAVENS GAMEDAY
for any player. But when you’re around Justin, you understand that this guy is confident,” Special teams coordinator Chris Horton shared. “He understands – and he loves – the moment; he wants to be in the moment.” Any time Baltimore is in field goal range, Tucker can be seen walking down the sideline in front of the team and coaches – as if he were saying, “I’m right here when you need me.” That “staying ready at all times” approach to his game is a huge reason why he’s the most accurate kicker in NFL history. “I feel like most kickers have always had big personalities,” Campbell added. “I feel like to be a kicker in the NFL you have to have a different kind of swagger. But ‘Tuck’ definitely has the biggest personality.” Justin Tucker has been clutch for Charm City for many years now. His impact in the community and the respect he’s gained from his teammates can’t be compared. As crazy as it may seem, he’s only getting started. The pages continue to fill his already Hall of Fame résumé. Here in Baltimore, it wouldn’t be to anyone’s surprise if one day Justin Tucker’s smile – and leg – take him all the way to Canton, Ohio.
"He does have kind of the perfect personality for the job. He likes the stage. He’s not afraid of it; he relishes it. It’s his personality. It’s who he is, and I think that combination, with talent and good coaching, goes a long way.”

"He’s definitely a confident young man. He’s just been that kind of kid. He’s an energy bunny. He comes in the building, and he’s just ready to go. When he gets out on the field, he brings the energy to the rest of the defense. He’s just one of those guys. I love the way that he plays.” – PASS GAME COORDINATOR/SECONDARY CHRIS HEWITT "He always wants to play fast. He always wants to just cut it loose and go, which you want that. But now, I think he knows where he is going better. He really understands the defense. He understands how we organize the coverages. He understands what responsibilities he has or what opportunities he has to make certain calls to put us in the best situation. He's doing a great job of that. He was good last year, and he got better as the year went on. But this year, he's taken it to another level that way." – HEAD COACH JOHN HARBAUGH

On 10/17, prior to the Ravens hosting the Chargers, four Military Jets from the Maryland National Guard flew over M&T Bank Stadium.
SALUTE TO SERVICE To celebrate the NFL’s Salute to Service (STS) Initiative, throughout the month of November, the Ravens are hosting various events and programs to honor military members and their families. On Nov. 2, the Ravens kicked off their STS efforts by hosting the annual Youth Football and Military Combine. Over 175 pre-registered youth participants competed in the clinic that was created to teach football drills with a military twist. Alongside local coaches, military personnel and Ravens players, attendees rotated through football drills, including pass patterns, tire flips and agility runs. Each participant’s parent/guardian is an active-duty military member or veteran and was informed of the combine from one of
over 40 different military organizations across the Baltimore area. Throughout today’s game, the Ravens will be incorporating several Salute to Service elements. At the conclusion of the National Anthem, performed by U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, which will feature a 65x120-foot USA flag held by service members from the Maryland National Guard and Aberdeen Proving Ground, CH-47 Chinook helicopters from the Maryland Army National Guard 29th Combat Aviation Brigade will fly over M&T Bank Stadium. During the game, Veterans of the Wounded Warrior Project will be honored through the Seats for Service program, which will then lead into the 3rd Annual Military/Ravens Legends Flag Football game at halftime.
