The Baltimore Ravens kick off their 26th season when they open the 2021 NFL campaign by hosting the New Orleans Saints at M&T Bank Stadium (7 p.m.) in the first week of preseason play. In 2020, the Ravens earned their thirdstraight playoff berth – and ninth overall under head coach John Harbaugh – with an 11-5 regular season record. Baltimore advanced to the Divisional Round of the playoffs for the eighth time during Coach Harbaugh’s 13 years at the helm. In 2020, Baltimore won six-straight games – including a 20-13 Wild Card battle at No. 4 Tennessee – before falling, 17-3, in the Divisional Round at No. 2 Buffalo to close out the season. The Ravens’ 2020 rushing attack finished No. 1 in the NFL (191.9 ypg) and produced the third-most yards (3,071) in a 16game NFL season. (In 2019, Baltimore set the record with 3,296 rushing yards.) Baltimore had three players – QB Lamar Jackson (1,005), RB J.K. Dobbins (805) & RB Gus Edwards (723) – rush for over 700 yards each, while Jackson became the first QB in NFL history to surpass the 1,000-yard rushing milestone in multiple seasons. The Ravens scored the NFL’s seventhmost points (29.3) in 2020, with Jackson completing 64.4% of his passes for 2,757 yards, 26 TDs and 9 INTs (99.3 rating), also adding 7 rushing TDs.
