C OAC H H A R B S S AY S ON WEEK-TO-WEEK NFL COMPETITION: "The margin is very thin in this league; it’s razor thin. Everybody is right around .500 or just above .500 or just below .500 – in terms of talent and ability and coaching – so the difference is week to week. It’s your ability to persist, overcome, come up with a good gameplan, execute the gameplan, and then really make plays – make plays that win games in critical situations – and that’s who ends up winning the game."
(4-2)
QUICK HITS ✗ After playing three straight road games (2-1 record), including an international contest in London last Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens (4-2) return home Sunday to face the Detroit Lions (5-1) for an interconference battle at M&T Bank Stadium (1 p.m. kickoff). ✗ Under head coach John Harbaugh, the Ravens are 40-22 vs. NFC teams, including a 24-7 mark in Charm City. With QB Lamar Jackson as its starter, Baltimore is 15-1 against the NFC, including a 7-0 mark at home. ✗ The Ravens lead the all-time series vs. Detroit, 5-1, winning four straight contests, including a 19-17 thriller in 2021, when K Justin Tucker made an NFL-record 66-yard FG as time expired to clinch the victory at Ford Field. Under Coach Harbaugh, Baltimore is 4-0 against the Lions. ✗ Last Sunday at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Baltimore beat the Tennessee Titans, 24-16, in a matchup that featured 6 Tucker FGs (41, 28, 23, 29, 20 & 36 yards), which tied his singlegame franchise record. Jackson was 21-of-30 passing for 223 yards, 1 TD (rookie WR Zay Flowers) and 1 INT, adding a teambest 62 rushing yards. Baltimore's defense was stout, racking up a season-high 6 sacks (including 2 each from OLB Jadeveon Clowney & DT Justin Madubuike) and limiting Tennessee's offense to 233 total yards and 1-of-9 (11.1%) on third down. ✗ Through six weeks, Baltimore's defense ranks No. 2 in yards allowed per game (260.8) and No. 4 in points permitted per contest (15.2). The Ravens' 6 total TDs allowed stand as the NFL's fewest.

Oct. 20:
I N J U RY U P DAT E OLB Odafe Oweh (ankle) has missed four straight games. Standout RB J.K. Dobbins (Achilles) was injured in Week 1 and is on seasonending Injured Reserve, while OLB David Ojabo (ankle/knee) was placed on IR on Sept. 30. LB Malik Harrison (concussion evaluation), CB Kevon Seymour (ankle), DE Brent Urban (neck) and S Marcus Williams (hamstring) left last week's Titans game and didn't return.
NOTE THE QUOTE TE MARK ANDREWS ON LB ROQUAN SMITH: "The way he sees the game – he's very smart, he studies a lot of film. He looks at a formation, and he knows exactly what’s coming. You talk about a Luke Kuechlytype of deal – guys that are super vocal, able to lead. He has that fire I haven’t seen from very many people. He has that elite focus. He’s able to do it at such a high level. He’s been a blessing for this team – for this defense – and a catalyst for what we can be.”
