M&T BANK GAME PREVIEW

QUOTH THE RAVEN “We’re extremely confident. I think this team is built for playoff football, and I think we’re mentally tougher than anyone out there, with what we’ve been through – not just this season, but past seasons. I feel like we can go into any situation and battle our tails off and have a chance to win. This group is a special group; we play for each other. We play for our coaches, and our coaches play for us. We win as a team and lose as a team, and when you have that bond, anything is possible.” – S Eric Weddle on his confidence level

Winning six of its last seven games – all with QB Lamar Jackson as the starter – Baltimore (10-6) captured its first AFC North Division title since 2012 (and fifth ever), earning a playoff berth for the seventh time during head coach John Harbaugh’s 11-year tenure. The Ravens return to the postseason for the first time since 2014 and are hosting a playoff game at M&T Bank Stadium today for the first time since 2012, when Baltimore won Super Bowl XLVII. After going 3-1 to start the 2018 campaign, the Ravens dropped four of five games (including three straight) before heading into their Week 10 bye. With QB Joe Flacco sidelined with a significant hip injury sustained in Week 9, Jackson took over the starting role and kick-started Baltimore’s charge to the postseason. (Jackson was officially named the team’s starter in Week 15.) Under Harbaugh, the Ravens have now won at least 10 games in six of his 11 seasons, while Baltimore has also posted the NFL’s fourthmost total victories (tied, NO) since his 2008 arrival. The Ravens produced the NFL’s No. 1 defense, allowing 292.9 yards per

Boasting the NFL’s No. 2 rushing attack (152.6 ypg), the Ravens racked up the second-most rushing yards (2,441) in franchise history. Baltimore also produced a franchise-record 5,999 total yards. Baltimore was one of two teams (Pittsburgh) to rank in the NFL’s Top 10 in both total defense (first) and total offense (ninth). Prior to 2018, this feat had never been accomplished by a Ravens team. 2018 BALTIMORE RAVENS GAMEDAY | 5

ON THE 2018 RAVENS “This is what a real team looks like. It's the best team – T-E-A-M. It's the best bunch of guys who understand what it means to have each others' backs, to fight through adversity and never be divided by anything. They block out all the outside, turn to each other for strength and are there for one another. That, to me, is what makes a team. This is the best team I've been around."
