Making a Difference
In January 2014, Russ Lyon | Sotheby’s International Realty launched the Russ Lyon | Charitable Foundation. In our first year, 200+ agent and employee volunteers across Arizona contributed more than 5,000 hours of community service work and raised over $30,000 for local Arizona charities. • Built, grew and harvested a community food bank garden in Cave Creek. • Trash removal from Oak Creek Canyon. • Assisted Foothills Animal Rescue in $9,000 fund raising effort. • Mid-Summer water distribution and donation to homeless shelters in downtown Phoenix. • Prepped 12,000 lunches for Feed the Hungry Children. • Prepped a Circle the City charity auction dinner. • Bagged 800 lbs of pasta at St. Mary’s Food Bank. • Participated in a 12 ton food distrubution for Ranch Feliz in Agua Prieta, Mexico. • Donated over $5,000 to two cancer research charities. • Collected close to $10,000 as bell ringers during Salvation Army’s Real Estate Wednesdays.
