Maasai Mara Tribe Villages

Gorilla Trekking in Uganda

Wildebeest Migration

Visit a Manyatta, a circular village home to the Maasai people, in southern Kenya or northern Tanzania and watch as the men dance Adumu, a competitive Maasai warrior jumping dance. Admire their intricate beaded jewelry and colorfully decorated red clothing with African motifs.

Standing just a few meters away from a silverback gorilla and his family is an exhilarating experience that is difficult to describe! Track these gentle creatures through dense mountain terrain to get up close and personal with one of the few remaining families of Gorillas in the Impenetrable Forest.

Along with thousands of zebras, topi, elands and Thomson’s gazelles, an estimated 1.3 million Wildebeest migrate between the Serengeti and Maasai Mara Natural Reserves each year heading north in July and south during October in search of green pastures. This naturally occurring migration is one of the world’s most spectacular sights.

Ngorongoro Crater

Kilimanjaro Trekking

Rafting on the Nile River

Explore the world’s largest unflooded and unbroken caldera measuring 300 square kilometers home to thousands of migratory animals including the endangered black rhino, prides of graceful lions, herds of zebra and wildebeest, flocks of flamingos and lonely ostriches to name a few.

Trek to the summit of Africa’s tallest peak topped by three dormant volcanic cones reaching almost 5,900 meters. Choose the easier 7-day Marangu route or scenic (yet steeper) 8-day Machame trail. Standing on the peak of the world’s highest freestanding mountain is an achievement you will remember for a lifetime!

Your trip to Africa would not be complete without an invigorating ride down the Nile River along the world’s finest class 5 white water rapids. Feel the adrenaline rush and your heart pumping as you paddle straight into the “The Bad Place” hanging on as your boat is tossed like a feather.

What is an African Safari What is an African Safari? The word ‘safari’ originally comes from Swahili meaning ‘journey’. Nowadays ‘African Safari’ represents a journey into the African bush where you become immersed in pristine wild African landscapes to see diverse animal species up-close in their natural habitat and to get in touch with the local cultures.

Types of Safari Vehicles Toyota Land Cruiser with open roof Nissan Urvan with open roof

Safari Camps and Lodges Bamba Experience offers accommodation options in Africa that are as rich and diverse as the land and its people. Depending on your preference, you have the choice of sleeping at a basic yet authentic campground immersed in nature or at a beautiful and comfortable lodge inside or near the National Park.

Camping Option This is the best option for budget travelers! All camps offer toilets, hot showers, and delicious food. Depending on the camp, you may have to set up your tent or it might already be set up for you with a bed inside. This common and economic accommodation choice gives you the opportunity to continue your wildlife experience into the night. If you are lucky, you might get to hear the lions at night and, perhaps, have a visitor stroll through your camp!

Lodge Option If you are looking for comfortable lodges with high quality service, exquisite meals, some with a pool and incredible views, the lodge option is the way to go! We have chosen very comfortable lodges for you so you can spend the night in peace and harmony with nature.

Included: Shared Huts and Lodge Accommodation in Moshi and Mt Kilimanjaro, Meals: Full Board, All Transfers, Park Fees, English Speaking Driver/Guide. Not Included: Airfare, Airport Departure Tax, Tips and Gratitude, Drinks, Personal Expenses, Travelers Insurance (Available for purchase)

HIGHLIGHTS Hike up Africa’s highest peak at 5,895m Rise above the cloud line and enjoy stunning views Witness an amazing sunrise at the summit Discover the region’s unique flora and fauna

ITINERARY Marangu Trek is the most popular route up Mt Kilimanjaro. Despite the human traffic, it can be fun to come together with other international like-minded travellers. This route has a well-defined path and accommodation in huts, resulting to a ‘climber friendly trekking experience’. Marangu Trek is a very scenic route with good views of Mawenzi and excellent chances for viewing wildlife. Day 01: Pick up at airports or bus station. Overnight stay in Moshi [890m], a small but typically vibrant Tanzanian market town, at Mountain Inn. Catch your first glimpse of Mt Kilimanjaro, rising high above the East African plains, while you wander about the town. Tonight, you will get briefed on your upcoming trek. Day 02: Drive from Moshi to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate at Marangu, on the eastern side of the mountain. The trek begins through forests of tall eucalyptuses where many species of birds and colobus monkeys can be sighted jumping through the canopy. Overnight at Mandara Hut [2,750m] in triangular-shaped huts. Day 03: You will start hiking through rainforests and then through mountain heathland, where you will view unique giant lobelias and groundsels, some of which are over 3 meters high! You will then continue on, as the landscape turns into low shrubs and moorlands. As you get to Horombo Hut [3,700m], you will have amazing views of the Mawenzi and Kibo massifs. Day 04: As you begin climbing today, the moorlands change into a rocky moon-like landscape. You will cross the surprisingly wide saddle of alpine desert connecting Mawenzi and Kibo. Remember to drink a lot of water and move slowly to prevent altitude sickness. Overnight at Kibo Hut [4,700m], at the foot of Kibo. Get to sleep early as you will have a very early start for the summit tomorrow. Day 05: You will leave camp around 1am today to be able to reach Uhuru Peak shortly after sunrise. You will first climb on a rocky path to the Hans Meyer Cave [5,150m], where you can take some time to rest a bit. Then the path zigzags steeply up a large scree slope, leading to Gilman’s point [5,681m] situated on the crater rim. You should get there just in time to appreciate a breathtaking sunrise with views over the impressive crater and the plains down below. You will continue on to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,896m, hiking along the snowy crater rim. On the summit, enjoy your accomplishment in total exhilaration as you admire the magnificent views of the surrounding plains. Once you have taken in this outstanding view, descend back to Horombo Hut with a new view looking down. The return to Horombo Hut will seem surprisingly fast compared to the tough ascent of the last days. After a 14 hours journey today, get some well earned sleep in your hut. Day 06: Descend back down through moorlands and lush forests to Mount Kilimanjaro Park Gate. Transfer to Moshi where you will spend the night at Mountain Inn. It is definitely time to celebrate and to relax. Day 07: Transfer to the airport or the bus station for your departure. You will leave with incredible memories that will last a lifetime!
