Liturgical Calendar 2022 Introduction:

why is it like that?

instruction to eternity:

This is the General Roman Calendar of the year 2022. This calendar is crafted by bao.anh.b to effectively indicate various dates for celebrating saints and the Lord Jesus Christ in the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church. It is also a calendar for those who believe to commemorate the divine experiences God had been going through, to witness the life and work of Jesus Christ.

In order to best suggest the feeling of reliving the Christ's life, the calendar is designed in a weekbased system to be flipped through forward, in which it has to be flipped from rear to front side when entering a new week, opposite to the direction of a regular calendar.

That being said, this calendar will begin from the last page up to the first one, which is this page. When in use, on the first Sunday of Advent (the first day of the year), all the other pages should be on the one side of the calendar letting the last page reveal itself on the other side.

By forward flipping, the experience of measuring time in Liturgical context is also reimagined. The refulfilment and regeneration of life is implied by the completely and fully stacked pages at the end of the year when you have been going through all the days and nights. For that it is the gift that Lord give us at the end of Time to see what we had done instead of the expected emptiness of a few last pages usually seen from other regular calendars.

Every Sunday, it should be flipped forward to another page in order to mark a new week of the year. The calendar can be seen through by the usage of translucent paper so that the past and the present will be merged and observed all at once.
