Show your Baptist ID at the Suns Box Office. You can also purchase up to two additional tickets at half price on a first-come, first-served basis. Office hours are 9 am – 5 pm and until 8 pm on game nights.

From the winners of these Magnet qualities, 2015 Nurses of the Year will be selected for each hospital, Baptist Clay, and Home Health Care, as well as a Flex Nurse of the Year and an Ambulatory Nurse of the Year. All nominees will be invited guests to the Spirit of Magnet Year in Review celebration on June 11 when the winners will be announced. Winners will also be featured in the July issue of Care Connection. Nominations must be made online. Check the Highlights section of the intranet home page for the nomination form.

Special ticket pricing for THE PLAYERS Championship THE PLAYERS Championship is again offering special ticket prices to Baptist Health team members for the annual event at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. Purchase single-day grounds tickets for $45 each, and $25 will be donated back to us through the “Chip in for Youth” program. This price is good for any of the tournament rounds, Tuesday, May 5, through Sunday, May 10. Wolfson Children’s Hospital will be the Charity of the Day on May 7. There is no limit to the number of tickets you can buy. Grounds admission is FREE to kids (age 18 and under) with a properly ticketed adult. Nurses: Make sure your PeopleSoft profile is up to date During National Nurses’ Week, May 6 – 12, we will recognize our nurses who have advanced in their professional practice during the last year by earning a nursing-related degree at the bachelor’s level or higher or obtaining a nursing-related professional certification. We will also honor our nurses who served in offices in professional organizations during the last year. To have your name included in this special recognition on the intranet, please check your profile in PeopleSoft and make any updates by Friday, April 24. For instructions on updating your PeopleSoft profile, visit the Employee Services section of the intranet.

Get your Jaguars season tickets via payroll deduction – act by May 1! Baptist Health team members can payroll deduct the cost of Jacksonville Jaguars season tickets over 16 payments beginning with the May 29 paycheck and lasting until the Dec. 24 paycheck. Your season tickets will include benefits such as invitations to JAGS365 membership events, Jaguars rewards and Teal Deals worth more than $3,000. This is the lowest price available for season tickets! Just follow these steps by May 1: 1. Go to the Discounts page in the Employee Experience section of the intranet to review the Baptist Health special season-ticket pricing map. 2. Call Brad Fain at the Jaguars ticket sales office at 904.633.6534. Identify yourself as a Baptist Health team member and mention the offer code: “BAPTIST.” You will need to provide your name, employee ID number and the seating area you want to purchase. The Jaguars will create an account and assign your Jaguars ID, which you will need to complete the transaction. 3. Download the payroll deduction authorization form from the Discounts page in the Employee Experience section of the intranet. After completing the form, send it to the Baptist Health Payroll department, Howard Building, Suite 414. The form must be received by May 1.

Benefits news New Total Rewards Statements are now available This statement is updated annually and includes information regarding not only your wages, but the value of your benefits and other programs available to you as a Baptist Health team member. Follow these steps to access your statement for year 2014: 1. Select the Self Service option in the Employee Services section of the intranet home page. 2. Log in using your network ID and password. 3. Select Payroll and Compensation, then My Total Rewards. If you do not have computer access, visit your Human Resources office for assistance, or ask your manager for access to a computer. Attention participants in the Baptist Health Retirement Plan administered by Hewitt Associates The 2014 Annual Funding Notice for the Baptist Health Retirement Plan is now available on the intranet. This notice is required under the Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA), and replaces the Summary Annual Report you have received in the past. Sponsors of qualified pension plans are required each year to provide plan participants with certain information about the funded status of their plan. The Annual Funding Notice, which satisfies this requirement, provides information about: n

The plan’s funding status for the current year and prior two years

n

The number of participants

n

Funding and investment policies, including details on asset allocation as of the end of the plan year


n

Information on how the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) insures the plan

Y Healthy Living Center events The Baptist Health Y Healthy Living Centers in Mandarin and Ponte Vedra bring medically integrated programs into the Y and make these programs more accessible to the surrounding community. Most classes are free, and you don’t have to be a Y member to participate. Wolfson Wellness Center News New Wolfson Wellness Center hours In response to team member requests, the Wolfson Wellness Center has changed its hours of operation for a trial period, which is now past the halfway point. The facility currently opens at 5 am, Monday – Friday, but your utilization is needed in order to keep these early hours of operation. Membership discount for team members Wolfson Wellness Center and Healthy For Life continue to offer a subsidy discount for employee memberships. Baptist Nassau Shrimp Festival volunteers needed Volunteers are needed to participate in the Annual Shrimp Festival parade on Thursday, April 30, and to staff the baby-changing tent at the Annual Shrimp Festival, Saturday and Sunday, May 2 – 3. Wolfson Children’s Hospital Win a Bass Boat As part of the 26th Annual Wolfson Children’s Hospital Bass Tournament, $10 donations are being accepted for the opportunity to win a 2015 Bullet 21SS Bass Boat with Boatmate trailer and Mercury 225 Pro XS OptiMax motor. With special thanks to Bullet Boats and Mercury Marine, this rig will be given away at the weigh-in drawing on May 16. There is no limit on the number of tickets you can purchase, and you do not need to be present to win. Drawing entries must be postmarked no later than April 30. Crochet Your Way classes are great therapy Looking for a way to relieve stress and anxiety? Try picking up a crochet hook and see how relaxing the experience can be. Thanks to a talented and generous volunteer Donna Sterck, who teaches this class on Thursdays at 10 am in the Wilson Cancer Care Center, you can now learn how to crochet. Many regulars in the class rave about her nurturing teaching style, as well as the benefits they have experienced, including relief from stress and anxiety. The class is offered to cancer patients, caregivers and anyone else interested in learning this skill. This group of women has become so talented that they are now selling their products in the gift shop to raise money for the Cancer Center. Washcloths are three for $10, and they hope to start selling more items soon. Pictured are: Kara O’Roarke, Jill Whittaker, Cheryl Foster, Donna Sterck, Jody Abigando and Sheila Kennedy. Baptist South Safe Sitter class The next Safe Sitter class at Baptist South will be offered Saturday, May 30, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. The class teaches students, ages 11 – 14, how to be successful babysitters. Training includes first aid, behavior advice, choking rescue techniques for infants and children, injury prevention and management, safety for the sitter, and babysitting as a business. The fee is $45 and includes lunch and a training manual. To register, call 904.202.CARE (2273).
