August 2014

Uniform delivery events a huge success Thank you to everyone who participated in the uniform delivery events in July. More than 5,000 orders were picked up in two weeks. If you are missing any items in your order, Vestagen will contact you when your order is ready. All items are expected to arrive before Monday, Sept. 1. Visit the intranet for more information on how to buy additional scrubs and make exchanges. If you have any other issues or questions, please email Vestagen at service@vestagen.com and they will respond promptly. Vestagen provides protective uniforms for Haiti mission trips Local physicians and nurses traveling to Haiti on mission trips will have Vestex® uniforms to wear, thanks to a donation from Vestagen. Vestagen is donating 2,000 discontinued items to Haiti mission trips led by John Lovejoy, MD, who retired in 2008 as an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Lovejoy was on the medical staff at Baptist Jacksonville and has been traveling to Haiti for more than 30 years. His trips often include Baptist Health physicians from a variety of specialties. “To have the high-tech Vestex uniforms will be wonderful,” Dr. Lovejoy said. “Infection is something we have to worry about in a tropical climate.” The Vestex scrubs will arrive at a hospital in Haiti in about a month. “Our mission in providing the donation is to protect the health care workers who are doing God’s work caring for people in need,” said Ben Favret III, Vestagen president and CEO.
