All Employees Must Complete Rapid Regs by January 31

The Rapid Regs annual education requirements are now available in eLearning. All employees must complete their assignments by January 31. Completion of rapid regulations by all employees is important for Baptist Health to be in compliance with regulatory agencies such as the Joint Commission. It is also an important aspect of an employee qualifying for any merit increase at performance review time. How to Access Rapid Regs in eLearning at Work eLearning can now be accessed much faster at work. If you are on the network, you no longer need to log into eLearning separately. Simply click the eLearning link and go straight to your My Learning page where you will find the Rapid Regs course under your Assigned Learning tab. This includes Tap In/Tap Out users. The only exception is employees who use LSID shared work stations that do not have Tap In/Tap Out technology. These employees will log into eLearning using the same network user ID and password used for Cerner and Outlook email. How to Access Rapid Regs in eLearning from Home To access Rapid Regs in eLearning from home, go to www.MyBHhome.com and log into the intranet with your network credentials. Then click on eLearning and go straight to your My Learning page where you will find Rapid Regs under your Assigned Learning tab.

The new passwords will expire after 90 days for all users, except direct caregivers. Direct caregivers will only be required to change their passwords once. Direct caregivers are defined as anyone with a Cerner or Allscripts account in a physician, nursing or other direct caregiving position. (This excludes external office staff). Users will be provided with more information when they receive the prompt to change their password. For more information, including frequently asked questions, visit the employee intranet .

“STOP or DROP” Weight Management Contest

Healthy For Life presents this fun eight-week weight management contest designed to begin the new year with a new you. During this friendly competition, employees will compete to fight obesity and control their weight. Employees will be challenged to STOP (maintain current weight) or DROP (lose 8 pounds). This challenge is open to ALL Baptist Health employees. As part of the contest, 20 winners will receive $50 cash. Studies show that people who lose weight gradually and steadily (about 1 to 2 pounds per week) are more successful at keeping it off. Healthy weight loss is about an ongoing lifestyle that includes long-term changes in daily eating and exercise habits. The contest begins February 3 and ends March 31. The deadline to register is February 3. See Healthy For Life on the intranet to register and for weigh-in times.

Baptist Beaches Baptist Beaches Celebrates 20 Years of Teaching Safe Sitter Program Baptist Beaches has been a registered Safe Sitter teaching site since 1993 and has taught more than 800 children to become safe sitters. The medically accurate program teaches sitters to be prepared to handle emergencies while on the job or with siblings or friends; how to treat a choking child or infant; and how to handle behavioral issues, as well as other on-the-job problems that might arise. Many of the children who have gone through the program have used the skills they learned to save a life. Baptist Beaches is proud to continue offering the classes in 2014. The upcoming dates are March 8, June 14, July 12 and August 9. To register, contact Jill Lortz at Jillian.Lortz@bmcjax.com
