MAKE YOUR OWN TRAIL MIX RECIPE As you hit the trails and walking paths this spring, carry along your own healthy, energy-boosting snack. Save the calories and your money with this trail mix recipe. Customize to fit your taste. 1 cup raw almonds 1 cup raw walnuts 1 cup cashews ½ cup raw sunflower seeds 1 cup dried cranberries ¾ cup dark chocolate chips Place all ingredients in a large bowl or storage container. Stir to mix. Divide into individual portions and place in small baggies or storage containers. A ¼ cup is an ideal serving size and equals about 130 calories.
