After two years of Covid related issues, we are excited to be moving forward, with our new name, the Telluride Autumn Classic, and a renewed passion to make our festival one of the most anticipated events on your calendar every year

COOL CARS ON COLORADO

The Town of Telluride provides very limited free or paid parking options Unless you are staging your vehicle on Colorado Avenue (Telluride’s main street) for Cool Cars on Colorado, the Festival suggests that you park in the Town of Mountain Village (see information below) and use the Free Gondola to view the Cool Cars on Colorado event�

The one available free parking lot is at “Carhenge” off of W. Pacific Ave. This lot is Day Parking Only, no overnights and is approximately a 4 block walk to the Cool Cars on Colorado event�

(ALL events at the airport are Saturday Only)

Hangar 29 Saturday Evening Event

Parking at the Telluride Airport is free to Festival attendees Saturday from 4pm - 10pm. Additionally, a Festival provided Shuttle will be available for the Saturday night Hangar 29 event at the Telluride Airport This shuttle will run on a continuous loop (no scheduled times) from 5:30pm� It will leave from the Oak Street Gondola Station in the Town of Telluride and drop attendees off at the entrance to the Airport venue Service back to Telluride ends at 9:30pm from the airport�

Telluride’s gondola system provides free transportation between the town of Mountain Village (The Concours and the Fine Arts Festival) and the town of Telluride. It’s the first and only free public transportation of its kind in the United States�

Experience the Autumn Classic Oktoberfest Celebration from the Hangar 29 VIP Lounge. The Telluride Rotary’s Western Classic open bar will remain available and, from the Lounge, you will be able to experience the live music of Spinphony, the world-renowned instrumental crossover string quartet from Denver, Colorado. These talented ladies will be mixing and mashing catchy melodies into unique instrumental arrangements such as “Bach in Black” and “Don’t Stop Beethoven”, making them more like a rock band than a string quartet. A special ‘Fire Performance’ will round out this great evening.

SATURDAY 8:30am – 3:30pm Start and Finish at the Telluride Regional Airport

Not a poker player? Never fear! All you need to participate in the Autumn Classic Poker Run is a sense of adventure and a willingness to explore one of Colorado’s scenic byways

You will pick up your Poker Run Score Card and Map at the Telluride Airport starting at 8:30am on Saturday morning� You will visit each of the predetermined 5 designated ”Dealer” locations and draw one card from the Festival “Dealer” at each location Each “Dealer” will mark your scorecard with the card you have drawn at each location You will need to pay attention to each location’s ‘card availability time’ as it is different for each location You’ll have plenty of time to get to the 5 locations in the time allotted, so no speeding!…just make sure to return to the Telluride Airport and draw your final card before the cutoff time, 3:30pm 3:45pm: Winner announced at the Autumn Classic Road Rally tent at the Telluride Airport

Tour one of Colorado’s great scenic byways, The Unaweep – Tabeguache, on the Telluride Autumn Classic Gateway Road Rally!

History: Unaweep and Tabeguache are Ute languages which mean “canyon with two mouths” and “where the snow melts first” respectively. This byway sits in the heart of the Uncompahgre Plateau and offers many great geological landmarks�

Details: Rally participants will motor along this approximately, 204 mile out and back route (estimated travel time: 5-7 hours) for a chance to win 2 VIP Passes to the 2023 Telluride Autumn Classic! The Telluride Autumn Classic Rally Master will establish a ‘time to match’ which will be known to only the Rally Master The Rally Master could stop for gas; stop to take photos of all the great scenery, stop for a brief snack or a long lunch Once in Gateway the Rally Master may tour the Gateway Auto Museum for 30 minutes or 60 minutes so, their time is a mystery until the announcement of the winner on Saturday after the Rally deadline at the Telluride Airport You must have a 2022 Telluride Autumn Classic Festival Pass to be eligible for prizes�

Rally Route: Start your Rally journey from the Telluride Airport� “Punch” your Rally Time Card and head out on your journey.  From 1500 Last Dollar Road, you will travel highway 145 along the San Miguel River through Placerville before turning left onto Hwy 141 towards Norwood, CO� You will pass through small farming communities before joining the flow of the Dolores River as you continue on Highway 141 You will pass historical sites like the abandoned uranium mining town of Uravan and the engineering marvel of the ’Hanging Flume’� Once you reach Gateway, check out the amazing Gateway Auto Museum Show your 2022 Telluride Autumn Classic Festival Pass for complimentary entrance to the museum! Enjoy your visit to Gateway but, remember, you must check back in at the Telluride Airport by 3:30pm (check in is available between 1:30pm –3:30pm)� The participant that most closely matches the Rally Master’s time will win the contest prize! This event is open to any vehicle owner with a 2022 Festival Pass and will be Saturday (9/24/22) only The winner will be announced Saturday (9/24/22) directly after the contest at the Telluride Autumn Classic Ticket Tent at 3:45pm

This event is available to all 3 Day VIP and 2 Day GA Pass Holders, both General Admission and VIP�

“Cool Cars on Colorado” participants rally at the Telluride Airport and depart for Colorado Ave by 4pm all cars will “cruise” down to the Town of Telluride together. FREE EVENT
