They were introduced to the Children’s Rights Division (CRD) website and its various pages. Emphasis was placed on the Division’s publications with special attention given to the material in Greek. Extended feedback was provided together with guidance on their future browsing through the CRD website. They were furnished with a special document prepared by the presenter, Ms B. Koziori, containing all useful links and titles of the CRD material in Greek.

This workshop, titled “It’s my right – Children’s rights in the democratic school of today”, took place within the framework of the 2nd Panhellenic Conference organised by the Regional Educational Administration of Central Macedonia under the title “Violence in schools – Prevention and response” from 5-7 April 2019.

28 teachers, headteachers, and school advisors, mainly from schools of Northern Greece, attended the workshop.

Workshops in Patra 03 & 10 April 2019

These workshops, also titled “It’s my right – Children’s rights in the democratic school of today”, were jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs of the Directorates of Primary and Secondary Education of Achaia with the participation of some 60 teachers, headteachers, and school advisors, mainly from schools of Achaia.


After a short introduction and presentation of the CRD’s publications and tools by the facilitator, Ms Koziori, participants were asked to work in small groups and attempt to utilise the material presented to devise an educational scenario dealing with major common problems they face in their schools.

Training Workshops ď ś Methodology

Notwithstanding the very tight time limits, participants responded very actively and enthusiastically and came up with some very innovative ideas of incorporating most of the CRD material in their everyday practice.

All work produced can be found in a special padlet ( https://padlet.com/koziori/vrnh10y1ndmw), created for the purposes of such training, and which can further serve as a meeting and exchange of ideas point of all concerned.
